picking this back up and feeling the same as I did during my first attempt: miss rebecca lowman is reading TF out of this! Also the prose is lush but also an example of why I avoid things written by men lol

my next read is going to be the 2nd Amari book to kick off Black History Month 🤠 it's also middle grade, so I feel confident that I should be able to maintain comprehension and interest despite my currently-mushy brain lol
