There are a group of immortals who live in a place called the Sanctuary, which is also dying. This influences the conflict because the immortals need stones called the Kindred to save their land and the kingdoms. Humans want the Kindred to gain endless powers.

This character has learned to conceal her sadness and want for revenge so the enemy king still trusts her. A theme could be that you need to stay strong through difficult times.
