up to page 92 and the descriptions of the author's sex with young boys has gotten graphic. Well he said he was writing pornography. It's so banal really it's hard to continue. I suspect the Internet that now provides the full spectrum of sexual possibilities has rendered this work to the quaint category.

I have not gotten far, but i's not good. Without preamble we are introduced into an impoverished family where the narrator is masturbating a small boy in his pants. The altitude of the family is unease but acquiescing. The narrator sees his subjects as morons and idiots. One might compare this with Andre's Gides humanistic attitude toward his playmates.
If this continues, I shall toss it.
