This guy moves fast once his proper lessons begin. Before this it's all been setting expectations, now we're cracking through sample plays, tactics, and strategies. Feel like I'm drinking from the fire hose but my play vs. online bots has improved considerably.

The unwritten Rule 0 of this all is to be at least competent at chess yourself, which I can confidently say I am not.

Thing One found a new hyperfixation and it's one we could well lean into, so I dusted off the board, we added letter and number stickers, went over how the pieces move, and then I got stuck... I'd like to avoid the 'just keep beating them over and over til they get it' method that was used on me growing up. I'd like to keep things fun. Here's hoping!
