I have to praise this author again for these anxiety inducing chapters... The entire novel has made me feel as if something was at the corner to give me a jumpscare.

Anyway, finally some peace (for now). It's great to see characters from the same universe but different books interact through other's eyes. Li Chengxiu is here now and that just means peace wil be over soon. I feel terrible for him.

Damn. I kinda saw it coming but it still like a punch in the guts. I only hope the chasing part is satisfying. Also, this just made me realize that the reason I enjoy this author's grovelling arcs so much is because of how prolonged they are, she doesn't avoid what could hurt her characters in the process and I love her for that.

So... people weren't kidding when they said Luo Yi was not well in the head. The author is truly a master at writting chilling scenes without any violence, the ones that are scarier are the dialogues between him and Adi, especially the controlling language used towards him and how it feels that underneath his facade he hides sinester impulses.
