Little did I know that the previous books were actually setup for the plot of a comedy (ignoring, you know, all that important political stuff).

Also, is it just me or is Taryn the most inconsistent character? She's the equivalent of a cake made by a drunk man that has never baked in his life, doesn't know the ingredients, and didn't even skim the instructions.
