I just got past the part where two demons and an Angel were fighting after they managed to escape the self harm cult. It made me think of EVA, especially the monstrous and surreal descriptions. Also, I think that Thomas and the priest might get together before the end.

Chapter 22/44. U am starting to get a bit weary of the RPG style pacing. They met an Italian guy and never saw him again in one chapter. And now the main crew is just on a boat. It feels a little random, but I’m still invested.

I just saw someone online describe this book as being a video game. I like it that way, though. I am still really enjoying it. I’m at the scene where they’re feasting before the tournament. The food has intricate nudes artworks on it.

This book is reallygreat so far. It heavily reminds me of Berserk. That’s basically it. Berserk translated into novel form. I really like how gritty and malicious the dialogue is.
