This is one of those endings that seems a bit confusing until you read it in context of the entire book. Plying the aliens with logical paradoxes is generally not good.

This is one of the most interesting early choose Your Own Adventures. I hope to read a good portion of it to my mother on our car trip starting Wednesday. We'll be back Thursday.

Ha! Mopo's arrogance could lead to his downfall and that of Earth. There's no convincing evil people to act in the interest of good.

Edward Packard is usually a cynic, so it pleasantly surprised to see things turn out okay after contacting the government about Mopo. We'll see if things go as well if we get in touch with the Coast Guard ahead of time.

A conundrum here. I wish to let my parents know I'm alive as soon as possible, but can we trust the Coast Guard to act civilly if we report Mopo's existence? I say no. We'll conceal his presence for the moment.

Mopo wound up being okay. Maybe I chose wisely to not reveal him to the fishermen.

Here's a question that cuts to the marrow. The only reason I've made it to Earth is Mopo, the alien who led the daring escape. Can I promise Earth's people will treat him with respect? I cannot. So...

I have precious little information to guide this choice, but I guess I'll persist in removing the headband.

I'll do it. I'll give in to the sleep...
