Also, Louis sets such an example as he is saddened in learning he has to give another daughter to our Lord, but is as adamant as she is when in pursuit of permission to join the Carmelites. I can clearly see where Thérèse got her deep desire to follow God’s will from. St. Louis Martin pray for us!

St. Thérèse is the best. Her words have changed the way I think about prayer and my relationship with Jesus.

Thérèse’s reverence and preparation for her first Holy Communion makes me wish I could go back and prepare even a hundredth as well as she did. However, it’s no use to wish on the past but I can only ask that she pray for me now and that I can grow in love of our Lord and His will.

I’ve already teared up and/or cried a half dozen times. St Thérèse describing her relationship with her Mother, sister Céline, and her Father and how she was as a child so filled with the Spirit and deep love of Christ is so so so so so beautiful and puts the biggest smile on my face. Especially her describing moments with her Father and how he calls her his “Little Queen” What more could a man want 😭
