...and I was right. I wish that mystery had lasted longer. The author was clever slipping in the foreshadowing when revealing more about the magics the Laorin use and I doubt many readers would have caught it. Truth told the book holds little muster and is more of a back story. Limited action and I wish the narrative style had more characterization.

The author just dropped a hint that I believe explains Muchal's maid with her scarred face. I could be wrong but the mark fits.
