Always a bit of a bugbear of mine. People generally speaking believe in CC (you can look at polling from Yale’s (seven?) americas survey if you don’t believe me. So reducing the discourse to “people are ignoring the scientists” is inaccurate or not helpful.

Issue of internal consistency in this book. I liked the beginning of this chapter too, but some of the things he was saying aren’t very well thought out/simplistic/special pleading.
