Status Update

Mike Finn is 10% done

I'm intrigued. My head is full of more questions than answers but they're interesting questions and I'm looking forward to getting the answers.

The collective noun for non-humans is. Veondkin. My search engine says Veond is a version of Feend in Middle English - an enemy and or a devil.

Humans are referred to as Karlen which my be from Old German meaning Freeman.

I haven't seen these used before.

There's an interesting story in here somewhere but it's not holding me. The prose is too clunky, the worldbuilding is too slow and I'm tired of our heroine being kidnapped to move the plot forward. I'm setting this aside.

I like the plot but some of the writing about the mechanics of moving through the feels as though it should have been tightened to take out the padding
