So Beloved is most likely a sort of reincarnation of Sethe's baby. Does that mean she was in hell or purgatory? The description of it being hot, dark, and her being "small there" makes me wonder. It also explains why Beloved only showed up after the ghost baby was banished.

That's kind of a crazy coincidence that the stranger's name is Beloved. I'm wondering if this is going to be something supernatural.

Completely in love with the "their shadows were holding hands" metaphor. There is an unsteady but sincere tenderness between the three of them that makes me really hope it will all work out.

The way complexities of trauma and unrealistic expectations in relationships are presented is really well done.
