starting to come together with solid but unexceptional writing.

lots of interesting subplots intertwining with main plot, but thus far story seems to be all over the place. hopefully everything will intersect satisfactory soon, also this book seems to have 1/2 dozen major characters but no true MC. so far I am not hating this enough to DNF but not loving it either.
