wow. this is.... bad. I usually grow numb to aster's prose to focus on the broader beats, but skyshade is startlingly bad with its editing. the action scenes are wretched, and she's compared rain to throwing stars three times now. weird phrases repeat in short areas. there's so much retconning. and man. Isla is just an idiot huh. girl! THINK!! ASK QUESTIONS!! I feel like I'm constantly being gaslit by this series
