Like Skadi, I'm not a monster-smut fan, but if one half-troll deserved to be romanticized, the half-troll in question should be Glámr 😂

The walls were scrolled with knotwork, with great carvings of fantastical beasts being hunted amongst the peaks, of jotunn at war, at feast, praying before the moon, sacrificing humans and mating with them. The last of these Skadi steadfastly refused to study.

A wound-sick, delirious Glámr is the most unexpected hilarious thing in this book 😂😂😂 I'm crying!
On the other hand, it's just so weird, that I really hope he's not going to die, like the laugh on my lips died when I thought of this. 😱😶🌫️😨

This book will be relaunched next Monday with a new cover! The author has had some unfortunate issues with Amazon and piracy that ruined it the first time.
This is why it's been put on hold on my shelf for the last 20% for so long. I'll finish it and post my review on that day.
Phil is a great indie author. Please, consider picking this book up on Monday 9th and give it a shot! :) His books are on K.U. as well!

The writing is great as usual with this author, but it's not an emotional Rollercoaster like Bastion is. This feels like it's taking its time setting the scene.

As for most first books in a well-built series, this one takes a bit of time setting up, that's why I'm not updating more. However I know this author will most likely pick up the pace in the second part. Can't wait.
As I've read Bastion first, I can't help seeing Skadi as a mix between Scorio and Naomi's personalities, it's kinda if she were an alternate-reality kid :D

Thank you! I've actually finished this one, but I'm holding the review as the author is supposed to relaunch the book due to Amazon messing it up! When I got back to this book after a few so and so other books, it was so refreshing! This author is so good, even if this book is slower and different than others he wrote! 🥰🥰🥰 He writes consistently good books, but sooo different from one another it's impressive!
Like from the cover I could tell it definitely wasn't your normal book!!😆 But it seems really good, if you liked it I'll have to check it out sometime! I'm currently going through the Magnolia Parks series which is FINALLY getting off my TBR but I loved the first one so I'm really happyy and I can't wait to continue the series!! I kinda just realized I'm blabbing on and on🤣 sorryy
Ahahaha yeah I saw your post! But no romance for me if there is no fantasy in it :D anyway this is the other side of my usual books I guess :D I try to alternate between romantasy and... Fantasy. This author is great but I think you'll have to read a bunch more of romance first until you feel like puking. He does romance in a wholesome way but it's very minor in the story
I get thattt I'm not much of a romance reader but I've been trying to get into it because some popular books look too good to not read and I want to try out all different genres although fantasy still remains my favorite but I've tooken a liking to thrillers, cuz I kinda ran out of fantasy books to read for a sec and ACOTAR ruined most other fantasy books for me LOLL

Ohmygosh thankyouuu!! I'm all for fantasy and romantacy but I hate when a book is slow and I love and intriguing plot but other than that I'm open to anything
If you want to try something that's a bit different from romantasy I'll recommend these 3 books I fell in love this year. See if one could be interesting for you1) Bastion same author as this one we are commenting but faster and ever increasing pace and stakes. It's a progression fantasy (like in the excitement of games leveling up)
2) The Tainted Cup fantasy murder mystery, very very cool
3) The Will of the Many I don't even know where to start describing this one, but I loved it so much!
