Finally gotten to the part of the book that coincides with products and services that I was familiar with growing up. Incredible insight into how crucial Pixar was for keeping Disney from the brink of virtual collapse, the total digital music revolution through iTunes, cyclical business strategy using iPod to boost Mac sales, etc. Jobs was still terrible, just not as heavy handed with humiliation tactics.

What really strikes me is how much the modern narrative has erased Jobs’ passion for art. At the midst of another technological revolution, there is a brazen, overwhelming, and distorted focus on technical ability above all else. Yet, much of Jobs’ life was devoted to appreciating, learning, and studying music, design, and philosophy. However controversial he was there is a valuable, overlooked lesson here.
