PJ Skinner was born in Guildford, one of seven siblings. When she was six, the family moved to Ireland where she attended school. She went to Trinity College, Dublin University, graduating as a geologist. After graduation, PJ spent 35 years working in over thirty countries as an exploration geologist. PJ worked in many remote, strange, and often dangerous places, and loved every minute, despite encountering her fair share of misogyny and other perils. “Absurdity is the best cure for adversity.”
P.J. Skinner

“While the water was heating, Sam whipped the sheet off her bed again, but this time it was empty. Gingerly, she checked the mattress for bumps but they had changed it. The foam bounced back under her hand. A new mattress. At least that meant no bedbugs. She didn’t mind reptiles, as she’d already slept with a few, but there was real intent behind her unpleasant visitor. Who was behind it? Someone who didn’t want her on site. It”
P.J. Skinner, The Pink Elephants

“Sam crossed her fingers and hoped that Gloria could be distracted from her hopeless quest of the successful Diego by a successful quest for the hopeless Alfredo.”
