Jen Cullerton Johnson is the founder of Green Literacy. She is the author of Change (Lee & Low 2012) demonstrates the connection between people and nature. Seeds of Change has been recognized for many prizes and awards, including a Starred Review for Kirkus Review, a Notable Children's Books Smithsonian Magazine, Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent in Illustrations EMIERT/ALA, Amelia Bloomer Project Feminist Task Force American Library Association (ALA), and Green Earth Book Award Honor Newton Marasco. She has won several grants and awards for her writing and teaching, including Illinois Artist Fellowship, Rochelle Lee Award, Chicago Foundation for Education and two Oppenheimers.
