Consciousness Contains The Cosmos | Abhijit Naskar | Insan Himalayanoğlu

When you are humble and simple, the entire world knocks on your door to bask in your light. But when you are too full of yourself, one after another you’ll keep losing life’s most priceless treasures – those that really matter.

अहं ब्रह्माण्डस्मि।
意識は宇宙です。
의식은 우주다.
Eres conciencia, eres el cosmos.
Gönül görmezse göz de görmez.

To put all this plainly – consciousness contains the cosmos. Once you feel this in your heart, all the answers, all the solutions, all the light will boldly pour out of your nerves and veins like monsoon rain.

But one thing you must remember –
what the heart doesn’t feel,
the eyes cannot see.
And there is no greater obstacle
to vision than rigidity.

Death comes but once, life comes every day | Abhijit Naskar | Yaralardan Yangın Doğar

Live by body,
Die by body.
Live by mind,
Never die.

Death comes but once,
Life comes every day.
Now tell me what’s braver,
Spirit of life or fear of death!

There is no afterlife,
because there is no after,
there is only life now.
To live life conquering fear,
is the ultimate divine vow.

Grownup Happiness (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Dervis Vadisi: 100 Promissory Sonnets

I don’t do Netflix,
I don’t binge for adrenaline.
I find it far more soothing to
listen to old BBC radio shows
while I do my writing.

Happiness is not a matter of exhilaration,
Happiness is a matter of moderation.
Just because all the monkeys are partying,
doesn’t mean you gotta give submission.

So I say, get your priorities straight,
Happiness will take care of itself.
If you don’t know to draw your own lines,
That’s not freedom, but apish descent.

I don’t scroll till I pass out,
I don’t drink till I feel sick.
Happiness means happy-in-less,
Trends don’t bring you peace.

Life and Abundance (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | World War Human: 100 New Earthling Sonnets

A person to take refuge in,
a purpose to be driven by,
that’s all you need
to lead a good life.

A roof to take shelter under,
couple meals to feed our hunger,
that’s all you need
to lead a good life.

Brain at the base of the mind,
Heart at the base of existence,
Character at the base of the shoulder,
that’s all you need to lead a good life.

Materialism normalized as abundance
chains freedom, and renders life a cripple.
True abundance instills content not clutter,
Actual needs of life are rather little.

Cup of Coffee (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | World War Human: 100 New Earthling Sonnets

A cup is just crockery
till there is coffee in it.
A head is just a skull
till there’s a mind in it.

Clothes are just fabric
till there’s a character in ’em.
Shoes are just footwear
till there’s a journey in ’em.

Chest is just a bunch of bones
till there’s a heart in it.
A body is just a bag of flesh
till there’s a being in it.

Birds never know (Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, Yüz Şiirlerin Yüzüğü (Ring of 100 Poems, Bilingual Edition)

Birds never know if the sun will rise,
yet they sing everyday right before dawn.
And sure enough the night collapses,
into the arms of the rising sun.

Kiss the world like morning sun,
Sing to the sky like waking birds.
Fret not the fears of wild insecurity,
You do your task with dutybound heart.

Touch the soul like summer breeze,
Hug the soil like monsoon rain.
Life is calling, can’t you hear!
Universe awaits your humane reign.

“Life is just three days…” Abhijit Naskar, The God Sonnets

Life is just three days –
yesterday, today, tomorrow;
yesterday is gone,
tomorrow may not come,
all we have is today –
so in actuality,
life is just one day, today –
rest is either memory or imagination.

“Live, even when life limps.” Abhijit Naskar, The God Sonnets

Live, even when life limps.
Sing, even when your throat is sore.
Help, even when your hands bleed.
Love, even when your soul is not sure.

Be The Change, Not The Caption (Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, The God Sonnets

Do good, don’t delegate.
Go vital, not viral.
Dare the deed, not drama.
Be the specimen, not a spectacle.

Speak truth, not trends.
Carve meaning, not metrics.
Plant roots, not rumors.
Foster oneness, not optics.

Lend a hand, not hashtag.
Trigger action, not attention.
Stir up lives, not likes.
Be the change, not the caption.

Faith is A Private Pill (Sonnet) – Abhijit Naskar, The God Sonnets

Faith is a private pill, not public law;
belief is a personal mechanism, not a mandate.
I am not a religious figure, but a human one;
only gospel I offer is the gospel of tolerance.

I stand not to dehumanize, but to dedogmatize,
yet to entitled bigots it always feels dehumanizing.
In my world, science is philosophy is theology is poetry,
beyond the grasp of your fractured compartmentalizing.

Ivory tower of belief and ivory tower of logic,
are both equally antithetical to life’s delicacies.
We gotta bring belief down from the sky into the soil,
and logic down from the tower onto the streets.

Live deeply, love madly, indulge moderately;
remember, vengeance is not power, but paralysis.
Love is not an emotion, love is existence;
tolerance is not a faculty, it’s consciousness.
