Daily life works in the same way. People may ask us for help, attention, advice or time, but we cannot meet every wish. We also have to work, keep appointments, care for family, rest and build a better future.
Helpful people often feel guilty when they say no. From the heart, they would prefer to support everyone. But one person cannot be in two places at once or solve every problem.
Some people forget that others also have a private life, responsibilities, feelings and boundaries. They expect understanding when they are unavailable, but sometimes struggle to show that same understanding when they need attention.
