I write books that I've always wanted to read. They're complex, filled with symbolism and bizarre characters, but in the end, they're entertaining, and very brazenly so...

My stories are dark, steamy fantasy infused with elements of fairy tales, historical fiction, science fiction and classical gothic literature. It’s unusual, but I think once you get a taste for it, you’ll enjoy the wildness of exploring something different with me.

Hi,
Yes! It's a historical fantasy romance...part of the Fae-Tales series but this time, the story takes the reader back in time to Renaissance Florence. As you can imagine, that's probably not too common, at least I've never read a story like this. Fae in 14th Century Italy?? I love to write about unusual themes and ideas, but pepper every story with historical or scientific details to give them some grounding. I love the two protagonists, Mattia and Giovanna. They are opposites and very much a product of their times. It's challenging to write about another era. Some of ideas are tough for a modern reader to accept, but I love a challenge, hehe. Book is out in December. I hope you all enjoy it. Let me know what you think.
Warmly,

I need to do research for Book 3 of Bloodreign, involving ancient Sumer, ancient Rome etc. I'm trying to be as factually correct as possible and it will take some time to work out all the details. Ursula K. Le Guin
“They leave Omelas, they walk ahead into the darkness, and they do not come back. The place they go towards is a place even less imaginable to most of us than the city of happiness. I cannot describe it at all. It is possible that it does not exist. But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.”
Ursula K. Le Guin, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas

Akshay Vasu
“A thing about poetry is, It takes cuts and pain to bleed words. The deeper the wound is, the more you bleed. And eventually, you will start falling in love with it. But the saddest part is, sometimes there comes a moment when you start to feel that all those wounds on your soul are not enough. And you start cutting yourself deeper, forgetting when to stop.”
Akshay Vasu

Alexandre Dumas
“Besides, the storm which rages in her breast was increasing in its violence, and she would have burst her prison walls if her body could have enjoyed, for a single instant, the same proportions as her soul.”
Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers

Alexandre Dumas
“Ah, no difficulties can ever daunt me,' replied d'Artagnan: 'my only fear is, of impossibilities.'
'Nothing is impossible,' said the lady, 'to the one who truly loves.'
'Nothing, madame?'
'Nothing' she replied.”
Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers

“I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.”
Rutger Hauer, All Those Moments: Stories of Heroes, Villains, Replicants, and Blade Runners
