Her adoption records were lost in a fire, so the only thing we know for sure is her date of birth and the city where she was born. There is a theory in the family that her biological parents were related to her adopted parents. The theory began because the couple we suspect were my mother's biological parents eventually had a daughter who could have been my mother's twin. There are so many potential plots within this family mystery, I've never been sure of where I would go with it if I wrote it.(less)

What is the One Element of a Book that Makes it Must Read for You?

For me, it's characters. I'm forgiving of plot holes and low conflict if the characters are compelling. IDaring and the Dukef the characters fascinate me, I can overlook other issues with the story because I am so drawn to the people in the story.
