Hi Dania,

Thanks so much for checking out The Goodnight Kiss, so thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it! I adore writing these characters, each with his or her own stories to tell that have been built up over decades (or centuries). I have to live with them in my head for awhile and really get to know them well in order to do them justice. I hope that answers your question!(less)

“Look" I narrowed my eyes at Mr. Gorgeous. "I'm kind of in the middle of a nervous breakdown and after that I plan on having a very festive pity party, table for one, so unless you are here to put me out of my misery I suggest you scurry on your way.”
Jennifer L. Hart, Who Needs a Hero?

“There’s nothing worse than seeing the craziness in a calm person as they ask for something completely ridiculous and then to have them look at you as if you’re a shovel shy of a tool shed.”
Jennifer L. Hart, Skeletons in the Closet

“Why is it that I so often feel like the craziest person in the room? I guess I usually am, but it’s definitely a frustrating feeling.”
Jennifer L. Hart, Skeletons in the Closet

“This town was a carbgasm looking for a place to happen and my ass was volunteering as the venue.”

“It's one slice of shit-cake after another with me, isn't it? Why did you marry me?"
"God gave you to me."
"Did you keep the receipt?"

R. Lee Smith, The Last Hour of Gann

“I should probably get started collecting the cats that would one day eat my face when I died, bitter and alone.”
Jennifer L. Hart, Murder al Dente

“Yet for all the aggravation of tending them, it was not so terrible an ordeal. He’d never kept a pet before and keeping close to fifty of them all at once in the wildlands was not how any man ought to begin, but he seemed to be having some success at it and he had to admit, he liked having someone to talk to, even if she couldn’t talk back.”
R. Lee Smith, The Last Hour of Gann
