Why I Stop Watching C-Drama Reels
When the trend of vertical dramas started, I was a fan. Because instant gratification is a thing, and I can now watch and entire drama in two hours rather than 50-11 spanning weeks. But very quickly, I realized these dramas aren’t good for anyone, especially young girls who are impressionable.

I mean, the fact that grown women don’t know toxic when they see it is a problem but not mine. Realizing most of the fans to who watch these dramas and are gushing over the men/women in them are children scares me.
What is WILD to me, they’re becoming more and more popular and the number of apps dedicated to them is crazy. Now, people on this side of the planet are making the – same stories but just Caucasian actors and they are worse. Why? Because no one edited the scrips to match the culture. They just took what came out of China and regurgitated here and it doesn’t make any kind of damn sense.
Now, this is just my take and frustrations – you don’t have to agree with me. To each their own.
But I’m going to try and list just a few because we don’t have time for all of the problems I’ve found.
Spoiler ALERT
Now, I’m not making this statement just to say it or rage bait anyone. I’ve watched so many of these dramas, I think my eyes want to start bleeding. Here are a few reasons why I stopped watching..
Useless Security – There is always some big confrontation and there is always security guards, more security than a ballroom needs but still the bad guy / girl always ends up causing some damage before anything is done. So what was the point of all this security? The damsel effect – The women in most of these dramas are shown as these weak creatures who can’t do anything on their own. They can’t think for themselves. .They need mommy and daddy to find them mates and then these mates take over their ENTIRE existence while patting their heads and treating them like children. And then they write these HEAVILY suggested “sex” scenes and all I can do is skip through those bits or cringe and drop it.
The random knife – At the end of almost everyone one of these reels someone gets stabbed. Why? Well that seems to be the go to. Most of these happen in places that no one in their right minds will bring a knife to, but there is always a knife.
Cheating – For a culture that shows they’re so conservative, everyone apparently is cheating on everybody else.
Virgins – Apparently, every woman in China is a virgin and need these big bad daddies to teach them the ways of the carnal. All the woman speak in a voice that make them sound like a five year old and the men are patting their heads going “good girl”. But it’s not the sexy kind of “good girl” all I do every time is cringe and move on to the next drama – imagine, she is already petite, speaks in the voice of a 5 year old, doesn’t seem to have the mental capacity to make decisions on her own and this GROWN man is patting her head saying “good girl.”
Drugging / Rape – Because of course. Let’s say Mary and Pam are having an argument – usually over a man because apparently women in China beef about this ALL THE TIME. So, Mary and Pam are beefing over Brad and Brad being the A-Hole that he is picks Mary and they move on with life. Pam doesn’t accept defeat, oh no. She hires a bunch of thugs to gang rape Mary and film it because – you know- that’s how they roll. Or say Mary and Brad was dating and Mary finds out that Brad is also sleeping with Pam and Mary dumps him. Brad wants Mary back so he promptly tries to rape or whole-ass rapes Mary because he things, in his tiny mind, that when he does that, Mary is going to take him back. We have one character breaking up with their spouse because the spouse cheated and the spouse decides that they are going to slip a little something in the other’s drink and have sex with them and that will make them reconcile…the drugging…OMG! Almost ALL of them have the drugging – one woman drugged the guy and tried to have sex with him…you get the picture.
Murder to get a man’s attention – One movie has a woman straight up merc her kid because she believes the man will take her back after she does. One woman held her daughter down in a bath tub full of ice so the child caught hyperthermia because she felt that the man will then feel sorry for them and wants to sleep with the mother. We have one where a man merely picked up his mistress and yeeted her off a balcony to her death because he thought that was going to make the main female take him back. We have women running over people with their cars.
Kidnapping – EVERY. SINGLE. ONE! I am not kidding. The ending of all these series are the same. The bad person kidnaps the wife of the main lead and there is that. And it’s always the white rag over the mouth with the female not even struggling.
The No DOESN’T mean No thing – A woman can’t seem to say know and a man takes that as the end of things. Noooooo because – well, No. O)r the other way around. Susan broke up with Tom and Tom then proceeds to stalk her, grabbing her arm (because in them you can’t talk too anyone without grabbing their arm and holding onto their arm). And he shows up EVERYWHERE Susan is. And he just randomly walks into her house to confront her because it doesn’t seem like anyone in China locks their doors and apparently their servants are dumb as a bag of rocks because they are never available to answer the door. And every time is stalking Susan, her new man Bradley is always close by to swoop in and save her because remember, Susan cannot be left on her own because she’s too dumb to make her own decisions, right? And if one character says no to sex, they other character just has sex with them anyways because–all of them folks.
The Pretend Strong Woman – Ooh Lord where do I even start? They write a character that you think, oh here is a strong woman – And then you realize it’s a facsimilia woman – it’s a man but they made him a woman. There is nothing remotely feminine about her and we fall into that stereotypical ‘bad ass’ who screams when they talk (all the damn time), they dress her in all black and give her a motorcycle and think that makes her strong. When she’s dumb as back of rocks and still need a man to save her.
The Man-Child – So the main lead in these are supposed to be Alpha, strong, loving – if someone comes after his girl he knows how to stand up or lurk in the background while she rains fire and damnation down on their heads. But these men are children. They think to make their women happen they have to make TERRIBLE financial decision like signing over controlling shares of his company to a woman who has NO idea how to run a company. Signing over ALL the properties that his parents worked like a dog to accumulate to a woman who has NO clue how to manage them. Men who when having an argument that the woman is CLEARLY wrong, will apologize and grovel like a dog just so she won’t be mad. Then after these wild actors, they want us now to go on getting wet over this man.
Physical abuse – *deeeeeep breath* that means exactly what it means. One drama had this man whipping his daughter in the middle of a crowd, people watch, films it and posted it online but no one stopped to call the cops. I mean a real whip – first of all who walks around with a fucking WHIP?
And when he was done, they all walked away and left her their bloodied and sobbing passing in and out of consciousness. We have men just straight up back-hand his wife or sister repeatedly across the face IN PUBLIC and people just be like “this is normal” and moves on. We have bosses putting their hands on workers, other women fighting each other in public – I mean fisticuffs- and nothing. Parents abusing their grown kids saying “she is family so we have a right to” – we have a woman who kidnapped her ‘brother’ because he would smash with her and held him captive for a year then he escapes and nothing…
Trust me, there are many other issues I find with these reels. And while these are in almost every drama out there, these issues are in ALL of these reels. I guess I’m not the demographic and I’m off that ship.

Hit Bite Love – Sweet Baby Jesus

Where do I even start with this one?
Lately, as I said before, I’ve been in a Drama funk. And it isn’t just BL or Thai dramas, is dramas in general.
The Chinese contemporary ones are all the same and I’m sick of the whinny heroines and the on the borderline abusive CEOs. The BLs are all sex no substance. The Korean ones are getting ENTIRELY too long for NO reason and I swear, one of the ones I’m currently watching come up with a character with amensia and I’ll be out.
But, I’m trying to push through and take recommendations from people. When they recommended Hit Bite Love – I should have taken one look at the description and back out of the room, slowly. I should have known from the poster that this was going to be a rough time. First of all, it’s a high school BL and after the rousing success that was My School President I figured I’d try for two. But no…noooooo. Not even close to being good. I have so many issues with this BL, sooooooo many issues.
Let’s begin with the poster and buddy with his ass hanging out. I mean, what was the reason? I didn’t like it with the whole American Pie franchise and as I’m older, I still don’t like it. I’m not a prude, but these kids are in high school. Keep your ass in your damn pants.
Another problem I had with this drama is the looks of the actors. Yes, we know they are supposed to be high school students, but holy hell do they look like actual children. Like REALLY young–I am not sure who was responsible for the casting of this drama but they did a horrible job. No one wants to watch characters who look like they’re fifteen in this type of situation. And yes, I get it’s fiction, but dang.
Like I said, I have a few issues with this series but I’m not even going to waste time trying to explain most of them. The one issue I have that really stuck with me is the BDSM angle. Now, I’m not a prude by any stretch of the word. If you’re an adult and this is what you’re into then be you boo! Let your freak flag fly. But this CHILDREN are entirely too young to be this damn serious to understand the rules of the BDSM game, the Dom/Sub dynamic.
And they didn’t even discuss it.
They were making out and all of a sudden the other one has his hands bound and a belt around his neck after a quick overview of hot, warm and cold. Shokun didn’t have time to process what was being said to him. Can you imagine kissing someone and all of a sudden your tied up like SURPRISE!
To enter into a BDSM relationship, this is something you have to enter into seriously by learning as much as you can before hand. This isn’t something you spring on someone. It is not an after-thought. This is a play on power dynamic, consent (CONSENT). You don’t just turn someone into your sub without their permission.
And while they switch play, I had a very hard time with how they entered into the relationship. Matteo saved Shokun from his mentally/emotionally abusive ex and I blinked and the next thing I know Matteo is tying Shokun up.
Like, wait, what?
Where am I?

I’m not sure where this emergence of BDSM is coming from in Thai BL. I mean, I am a fan of super freak fun times, but at least do the research before you just throw something in. Just because a character likes it rough doesn’t mean they want to tie you up and whip you.
No, you know what? I blame KinnPorsche for this.
Anyway, the story was messy because the editing was sketchy and they tried to do something but it didn’t work. It was hard to follow because especially with the flashbacks or the cuts to past events.
They tried to cram so much into 6 episodes that it was just 6 episodes of nothing.
The acting was not there and neither was the chemistry. And I want to say this drama is this bad because they didn’t have the budget, but Vietnam who is just coming into BL doesn’t have the budget. Most of their works that I’ve seen (and loved) have been crowdfunded and they stories are good.
This was just wrong and they are saying there is a season 2 coming–like no.
Don’t do this again.

History 5 – Why?
Before I start, this post MAY contain spoilers and, as of the date of this post, this is an airing drama, so you’ve been warned.
I don’t think anyone was as excited as I was when they announced another HISTORY. I mean I was still salty about how the last two ended and figured this could be their chance to make things right. And when they announced the cast – I was positively Giddy.
Linus Wang – Hai YiI went through the cast one by one. I mean, I was familiar with Jason Tauh from Red Balloon (which I think was one of the worst BLs ever made) and more recently in Pappy and Daddy 2. It was good to see him in something else. But I wasn’t familiar with anyone else.
Linus Wang did all the wonderful things to me. Have you see this man? He would make the perfect alpha BL hero and I was already making up the stories in my head. Check out the face! Look at those cheekbones, those dark eyes–that body! Then I was watching a video with him and his voice–oh sweet, baby Jesus. Yes, I was already writing HISTORY 5 in my head and it hadn’t even been filmed yet. I knew nothing about him before then and even after he was announced as one of the leads, I could barely find anything about him–which was weird. When you go to most of these sites they have so much info on these guys–even their bloodtype–but MDL doesn’t even have his age. Of course, I started stalking–er I mean following–him on Instagram, made a video of him on Tiktok and continued drooling–er I mean watching–him to see what else he’d show up in.
Lately, I’ve been waiting for either a drama to finish airing, or to get halfway in before I start it. I’ve been burnt by bad stuff so much of late, I didn’t want to risk that again, so new rule. So, yesterday, I started History 5: Love in the Future and I have to say I am a little disappointed.
Let’s start with the numbering of the episodes. As we know (if you’re familiar with HISTORY), they usually say there are 20 eps, but technically they are 10 because the eps are so short. So every two eps is technically 1 ep. We don’t know if it’s actually 20 episodes this time, or if it’s ten, so there’s that. So, every website you go to to read up on the series or the actors have a different number of episodes listed. I’m going to assume it’s actually 20 (which makes no sense because from what I’ve seen this series could have been done in 10 actual episodes because there’s very little content there. I don’t know why they are dragging this out). As I was saying, I’m going to say it’s 20 episodes, each running about 23 minutes – 20 if you cut out the entry theme song and the previously on HISTORY 5 recap at the beginning.
Sean Chang – He Bo WeiOkay, time to move to the characters–at least the mains–and the story. Linus Wang is coupled with Sean Chang and while there is some chemistry, their story is just meh. Sean plays He Bo Wei (I’m only using one of his character name because he has two) who got sucked into the future. Now he must find his way home – or at least he wants to go home (we aren’t sure which is the true feelings because why would they explain that). Other than the few times it was mentioned of him returning to his time, they focus mostly on the relationships between the couples, which makes sense since the eps are so short. I’m sure they’ll get back to the time traveling thing when the 19th episode hit just because the second to last ep is usually the cursed one.
Now, there are some cute parts. And a couple of times I was nodding and was like yassss please. But for the most part there is very little to latch on to. They’ve wasted Linus’ alpha look on a guy who isn’t very deep. He’s pretty to look at but nothing beyond that. And he’s super soft–I mean, we all want a guy who’s good with his emotions, but we also want a man who is going to stand up and be there. I just–ugh, I wish he had more depth to him. Now, to be fair, maybe it’s just me not getting my hopes up because of how Make our Days Count and Trapped ended and I’m just tired of their shit. But I really wanted more from Linus’ character.
He Bo Wei (played by Sean Chang), I don’t know what to do with him. And I’m being honest. He’s basically Meng Shaofei (played by Jake Hsu in History: Trapped) with long hair. I mean, he looks like him. He sounds like him. He acts like him–Bo Wei, if you close your eyes, is Shaofei and it bothers me. And usually, some childishness in a BL character is cute, but with this one, I merely rolled my eyes. In the series, this man is grown. He has a job making adult money and his reaction to things bothers me. To be fair (again) there is going to be times when he just spirals. It happens. But all the time with the childish response to things *rubs brain*.
Anson Chen – Wen HsenOne of the reasons I’m still watching this series is because of the secondary couple played by Anson Chen and Jason Tauh. There is a softness to their developing romance that I like. Anson’s character is Wen Hsen aka Vincent (I think because they dip back and forth between his Native name and his English name – which makes no sense) and he’s the boss. And the moment Lin Huai En aka Wynn comes to work for him (I think as an intern because they are on probation it keeps saying. Not sure how that works), Wen is drawn to him. See, that’s a kind of storyline I can get behind. I love that Wen didn’t care that Haui En is an orphan and I love the way he treats Huai En, even though he doesn’t understand the feelings, he’s still open enough to kind of see where they lead him.
And he sets out to take care of Huai En (without letting him know). And it’s just the way Wen builds Huai En up, making him strong and able to stand up for himself. Why? Huai En was a doormat when he started–everyone was taking advantage of him and Wen didn’t like that. The softness he looks at Huai En with, the way he is always there helping Huai En up, making sure he’s steady on his feet and felt protected – there is a scene where there is an earthquake. Wen dropped everything to drive to Huai En to make sure he was okay. When Huai En says “I’m coming down to see you” Wen said simply. “No need. I came to make sure you were okay.”
Now the secondary characters are still all the same. Meaning, they want men who doesn’t belong to them, there’s the toxic vaginas and the one friend who can’t seem to mind her own damn business. Well, because, what BL is ever complete without these annoyances?
My irritation–or some of them–comes with the following:
Jason Tauh – Lin Huai EnAre you jealous? – These characters are supposed to be grown, yet we still have one doing something and when the other shows he’s not happy with it, the first one laughs and goes “are you jealous?” Why is this still a thing in these series? Why is doing something that you KNOW hurt the person you claim to be falling in love with and you think it’s funny? Overraction – I can’t with this. Why is the response to something as simple as opening a bottle of wine so damn dramatic? The response doesn’t match the action. In this series, when this happens, Bo Wei decided to leave Hai Yi to go spend time with the girl Hai Yi thinks Bo Wei is in love with. He knows Hai Yi is having issue with their relationship (Hai Yi isn’t sure if Bo Wei and Momo are friends or lovers), yet still he was proud as punch to get up, announce he’s going to spend time with Momo then can’t understand why Hai Yi withdrew into himself. Yes, these things happen, but that reaction, purposefully hurting Hai Yi was an overraction to a simple hiccup.
Toxic Vagina – I mean, really? Do I need to still explain this one at this point? But this one took it to a whole new level of disgusting. This chick tells Wen that she was willing to marry him for status and money and allow him to sleep with Huai En. When she told him this with a straight face, I threw up a little in my mouth.
Commiting Crimes with no consequences – The others in the department Huai En works in committed attempted murder. They locked Huai En in a cooler (a walk-in freezer) and left him there to die. These freezers keep whole-ass pieces of meat frozen. I’m talking so hard, you could kill someone with a piece of it. Thankfully, they were morons and talked about it in the elevator and Wen heard and ran to save Huai En. And of course, these brain dead idiots should have been arrested – or at the very least, the leader of them should have been shaked with his own vocal chords. Instead, all he got was Wen yelling at him and nothing else. This ENTIRE department is out to get Huai En because the boss took a liking to him–and not one of them will suffer or is suffering for the things they’ve done to him.
I want to drop this series so bad. We are 10 eps in – halfway, another 10 to go and it’s painful. I don’t know why they made that many episodes. They could have used the money for the next 10 eps to make a 1 hour movie for TRAPPED bringing Tang Yi back from prison and showing how he and Shaofei deals with their new time together.
UGH

Just Admit you messed up
I am sitting here, rereading the statements made by Tri Creations about Lay Talay (King in MY ENGINEER), Perth Nakhun (Ram in MY ENGINEER), and Inntouch Naphat (Boss in MY ENGINEER) no longer being with their agency because all three had their contracts expired and didn’t resign with them.
MD Nutthapong PhibunthanakietThis means, another three members of the My Engineer cast – gone. In my opinion, even with COVID, this is carelessness on the company’s part.
The first to leave was Ryan Peng because they basically threw him under the bus. You can read my rant about that here. Followed by MD Nutthapong Phibunthanakiet who played Dr. Thara. That one should have signalled a downhill slide because he was to be one of the main characters in season 2 as his love story with Frong. The good doctor and Frong were set to be a grown-ass relationship, two men who have been through some things in their lives and were going to help heal each other.
The whole Inntouch thing is connected heavily to Ryan Peng since they were the onscreen couple. And as much as people seem to be whispering it, none wanting to say it out loud, the implosion with Tri Creations and Ryan Peng has affected Inntouch and his career. I mean, since My Engineer he doesn’t have any credits to his name except a project called Your Star which has now been cancelled. So, basically, Tri Creations has been sitting on him since about 2020 without booking him in anything.
Ram/KingThe most anticipated coupling of the Thai BL industry had to have been RamKing played by Perth Nakhun and Lay Talay. Their story ended on a cliffhanger that broke most of our hearts and we were promised a season 2. Tri Creations, the company with these actors, teased s2 around mid point of last year and again earlier this year. And each time they did that, we get excited. But now, it is painfully obvious that we won’t be getting a s2 and even if we did, they would have to recast the entire thing.
Why?
Because as far as I know the only main cast remaining are Cooper Patpasit (played Boun) and Poy Kritsanapong (played Duen). Let’s be honest, not many watched My Engineer s1 for the main couple. If these two were the only couple, I would have dropped My Engineer s1 around the three episode mark. They are super stiff, they have no chemistry together and the storyline with them, though having potential, was ruined by bad acting and the irritation of the script.
The chemistry between Lay and Perth was on point. Their storyline was cute and heartfelt at the same time. The little intricacies of Ram, the eagerness of King–and the dogs?? OMG!!
The slow way in which Ram began seeing King as more, the shyness in King when he realize that what he was feeling wasn’t a joke and the way it broke his heart because he wasn’t sure if that was the right thing or not–their storyline was *chef’s kiss*
Lay, Perth, InntouchThe bottom line is this – Tri Creations and the people behind this series messed up. Even with COVID, there could have been ways to get this made. But long after season one aired, it was said in an inverview that they didn’t even have a script for s2. Now if they do make a s2, it won’t have the same cast, which means the feel could be entirely off (A lot like 2 Moons 2, a zombie that just won’t die).
I think it’s now time for them to just announce that this series isn’t coming back, so that Ram/King fans can move on.
With or without theri announcement, I’m finished waiting.

Thailand – y’all okay?

I look away from the Thai BL industry for a second to get a good chunk of my newest BL written, and when I looked back the entire thing is up in flames. From director P’New disappearig off social media, and Yoon (Unforgotten Night) getting molested on air by a MC, to a break-in at Be On Cloud and mass unfollowing of the actors by Chinse fans, then to actors getting replaced in leading roles–I have no idea what is happening right now. The situation with Yoon is bullshit and that woman needs to be fired and or arrested for what she’s done. And instead of Y Entertainment going after her and lighting her entire shit on fire, they released a statement, basically saying it’s all good because she apologized, made Yoon apologize to HER! Then sent him on haitus.
This is why men (and some women) dont come forward when they were molested. Because instead of making the offending party pay, they blame and punish the victim.

But–that’s not why I writing this post.
The reason for this post is to ask what in the hell is happening at GMMTV.
A few months ago, GMMTV released a crap ton of trailers for their next BL lineup. They were feeding and BL fans were EATING!
No crumbs was going to be left behind.
I was hyped up for the two with Earth Mix and ViceVersa. All the trailers were high quality production, glossy, dramatic and my soul was ready. But there was another BL trailer they released that I was over the moon for. It was supposed to star Kristo Perawat (SOTUS) and Mike Chinnarat (Mama Gogo, Tonhon Chonlatee).
I was freaking out. Not because of Krist – I don’t really like him as an actor as such. But because Mike has been doing support cast for what feels like forever and FINALLY he had a leading role. I watched the trailer REPEATEDLY just to get a feel for him as a
Mike Chinnaratleading man and I was loving it. I was over the moon excited because not only was he gorgeous, he seemed to be playing the role seemlessly and I was down for that.
Also, he had chemistry with Krist and NO ONE, not even Singto, has onscreen chemistry with Krist.
Now, I look away from the Thai BL world for a second, and come back to find that they’ve replaced Mike Chinnarat with Fluke Gawin (Not Me, Dark Blue Kiss).
Let me absolutely clear.
I LOVE Fluke Gawin. Even though it wasn’t his best performance, I fell head over heels from his role in Dark Blue Kiss. He was the only reason I watched NOT ME the series because I decided a long time ago (not really that long, but since THEORY OF LOVE) that I wasn’t going to watch anything with Off/Gun it it again–like EVER. But because he was in Not Me the series, I turned in. And, there are very few things in this world that would bring me greater pleasure than having his babies – but I have questions.
Fluke GawinThe most important question being – Why?
We already know Krist has no chemistry with anyone, not even Singto. In the trailer for Be My Favourite he seemed to have some with Mike and Mike looked like the perfect leading man to bring that out in Krist.
And if you’re replacing people, okay, how about we replace KRist with First Kanaphan (Not Me, The Eclipse)? We know the two of them have amazing chemistry and both of them can act. Why only replace Mike?
GMMTV released a statement but it is vague AF. Here is what they’re saying – in part.
“Since GMMTV revealed the cast of BE MY FAVORITE in December 2021, the company and production team have been preparing the pre-production process of the series in various elements, including workshops and in-depth discussions with the actors regarding their characters’ roles. As a result, the company, production team, and actors have collectively agreed and decided to change the intended role of Mike Chinnarat to Fluke Gawin Caskey. Mike and Krist were both involved in the decision and agreed to it in the best interests of the series as a whole.”
*blink*

WHAT?
What does that even mean?
You’re telling me, these two men watched the trailer that they made and think “or presence here will make this flop.” Nothing about this makes any sense. Fans aren’t stupid. You don’t find an actor who can put up with Krist and his stiffness adn make Kristo look like a decent actor then just give him the chance to walk away. We know ther eis more – correction, I know there is more.
These companies need to stop release trailers months, sometimes years before the drama is even made because they can’t even keep the cast for that long.
We saw what happened with KinnPorsche. They had to change companies and in the process lost cast that could have made the series so much better. And before you come for me, y’all can’t tell me that if Gameplay was paired with Jeff Satur that the whole Kim/Chay storyline wouldn’t have been 50 million times better. That the garbage kiss filmed from the moon between Kim/Chay wouldn’t have been better with chemistry.
*exhales*
I find it hilarious that they THINK this is going to work. I am highly, HIGHLY skeptical, but I’m hoping and praying for Fluke that this works. I mean, if they have a director like the SOTUS one who tells Krist to wipe his mouth every time he kissed Singto, then we’re screwed.
Ugh – Just…
Stop the madness.

Recasting Unforgotten Night

Let me start this off by saying, my issues with UNFORGOTTEN NIGHT: The series are many. This drama was being sold as romance, BDSM, mafia.
It’s none of othese things. Trust me.
There is nothing romantic about this drama–NOTHING–absolutely nothing. Aside from some hot wax and chains, there isn’t anything sexy or romantic here.
*Clears throat*
And while there is a bit of a mafia story going, it doesn’t feel Mafia-ie – Kamol is entirely too soft…for examble, one of the badguys put his hands on Kim (Kamol’s lover) and at the end, this punk wasn’t missing an arm or his tongue. A real Mafia romance hero would have made this idiot suffer for even THINKING of putting his hands on Kim.
That’s just ONE of my issues with Kamol as a character.
But let’s focus on the issue I want to focus on in this post.
From the director to the writers–but I think the casting needs to be fixed. Before I go any further, however, this post may contain spoilers and this series still have a final episode slated to air SEptember 7, 2022.
Currently, I’m only going to focus on the main chareacters which include the them ain couple and the secondary couple.. To do the entire series would be too much time and this drama is so bad, aint nobody got time for that. Okay, here we go.
Kamol/Kim

Kamol – played by Yoon Phusanu ( Nueng from Paint with Love)
I honestly don’t know if it’s Yoon as an actor or if it’s the way the directors told him to act for the camera. I actually liked his character in Paint with Love and he did have some chemistry with Yacht. Plus he was also in My Ride and he did have some chemistry with Best, but for some reason, I don’t see him as a Mafia boss.

Kim – Played by Ton Saran (he played Choke in Y-Destiny) . Now, in all fairness, I didn’t remember who this was in Y-Destiny, so I had to go back and check and realized, I didn’t like him in this either. His character in Unforgotten Night is regrettable and he has the same facial expression for everything. I know these actors go through workshops and the like to test their chemistry together and how he passed to couple with Yoon in a romance that has BDSM is beyond me.
Replacements
Kamol – Yoon Phusanu – Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, for this round, and say with a better director he could pull off Mafia and with a different co-star there could be more chemistry.

Kim – Saint Sup (Let’s Fight Ghosts & Love By Chance) – While I’m aware his people can be problematic (according to the rumors), I don’t think we should judge him based on the actions/words of others. He is a talented actor and thats pretty much what we should focus on. Saint has proven that he can act and is so good, he can play the Top or the Bottom. He’s also proven that he is professional enough to have chemistry with anyone he’s paired with. We know his range when it comes to emotions, so we know he could pull this off without any issues

Kamol – Nine Noppakao (Lovely Writer & Until We Meet Again) – Let’s be honest, with the bulk of his body and put that body in a suite, Nine has the look. And from what he’s shown, he has the talent to pull off dangerous, seedy Mafia.
From what we’ve seen in Until We Meet Again, Nine is capable of the strong silent characters. He acts with his face as much as his voice and body, and those moments when Kamol is in silent contemplation, would be a lot stronger and have a whole lot more meaning with an actor like Nine. And I think his chemistry with another actor would be amazing since he’s been so strong with partners in what I’ve seen him in. so far

Kim – Perth Tanapon (Love by Chance & The Stranded). Let’s face it, we all adore Perth. There is just something about him that just makes me happy. Watching the way he was with Saint behind the scenes for Love by Chance, I know he could blend well with Nine.
His range would be far better than Ton’s and I think even if he was paired with Yoon for this, it would still work. From what I gleamed from the current casting, Kim is supposed to have a little spice to him. When Ton tries for that, I don’t feel it. I see what he’s trying to go for, but it doesn’t work. We know, from Perth in LBC, that he is capable of this.

Kamol – Top Nathas (Mangkorn from Even Sun & Season 5 THE FACE: Thailand & Oak in 2Gether) – Now, fine, he’s a model and when people hear that they don’t typical expect much, but I see some potential in him.
While Top is fairly new to the acting game, he is one of the things I loved about Even Sun (and aside from Boun/Prem and the scenery, I didn’t really dig much else). He was also supposed to be in a couple other projects that were cancelled – so others see potential in him as well. But I think if he was to be paired with Perth Tanapon (playing Kim) he could pull off an amazing Kamol.
And now for the secondary couple of Baiboon (played by Peat Suchanon) and Khom (Gun Thapanawat). Khom is Kamol’s head bodygaurd and apparently he’s supposed to fall in love with Baiboon. Now, there is a grey area with Baiboon because we don’t seem to know how old he is, and Kom is grown, but they do make a cute couple.
Gun Thapanawat – KhomBoth these actors are new and the replacements I would make here are very minor. I would consider using Gun Thapanawat (Khom) to play Kamol since he has that look about him. The way he moves, the way he looks in a suite, his quiet demeanor. But other than that, I wouldn’t recast this role.
This is Gun’s first role. And for what he is to be playing and the director, I feel like he’s done the best he can with what he was given. The little moments when he’s watching over Baiboon, the tiny smiles breaking his cold demeanor as he loses himself in staring at Baiboon in that soft kind of way that tells you he likes wht he sees, his moments of pretending not to be hurt so he doesn’t worry Baiboon *sighs* – No, I would not replace him unless it was to play Kamol.
Peat SuchanonLet’s talk about Peat Suchanon who plays Baiboon. This is his first real role and he has such a long way to go because Peat is only 21, but like Gun from Golden Blood we need to work on his facial expressions. He needs to learn how to control them and use the right ones for the different emotions. I’m on the fence about replacing him.
BUT
MD NutthapongBaiboon – MD Nutthapong (Dr. Oat from Manner of death & DR. Thara from My Engineer). I adore MD and even though I think he’s older than Gun Thapanawat, I think he would match with Gun amazingly. I mean h e went from his role in My Engineer as a serious doctor, working with a cancer patient to Oat who is adorable and funny.
Okay, so those are my choices–at least some of them. What do you think?

I can’t with people anymore

Before I even begin, this post WILL have spoilers. Like, seriously. And also, I’m sure someone is going to get their panties in a twist over this post, but honestly – I said what I said, when I said what I said.
So, I keep seeing comparisons between Cutie Pie the series and Meow: Ears Up. And quite honestly, I don’t get it. I don’t get why anyone would compare these two dramas, they’re a million lightyears away from each other. Aside from both of these being low angst and cute, they aren’t in the same ballpark. But it’s happening. Tiktok, Facebook, MDL, Twitter–more and more people are comparing the two. And that’s going to happen – we compare dramas all the time. But the fact that people are saying that Meow: Ears Up is better than Cutie Pie the series, I had to go and binge watch Meow because I couldn’t imagine that. It was never a drama on my list because I thought the premise was stupid as all hell. But in order to write a post on this issue, I had to watch it.
After watching BOTH these series, I’m over here wondering what these people are talking about.
Meow: Ears Up is about two men in love with cats. Sure, the cats are shifters, but one of them, Meow (yes, his name is Meow), can’t shift all the way, so he still has his ears and I think his tail.
Now, I’m a shifter romance fan – but he is still a cat!

Cutie Pie the series is about two guys who were set up for an arranged marriage when they were younger and it’s coming up time for them to actually start toward getting married. The secondary couple – well that relationship between Diao and Yi was a hostage situation but still – they aren’t cats.
Let me tell you first about Meow Ears Up.
The plot sucks. – A cat shifter from the “Ear Tribe” who can’t transform half the way. The Alpha takes the stray cat home and he transform into a guy and that’s pretty much it. Now no one is supposed to know Meow is a cat shifter – but Meow gets lost in a market. Dermderm is in the middle of a market, A MARKET, ringing a tiny silver bell and yelling “MEOW? MEOW?” *facepalm* – Sir, what is the reason? And if no one is supposed to know he’s a cat or from the Ear tribe, why name him Meow????The acting sucks – Bodo Schaefer, who plays Evan the alpha in the secondary couple looks as if he was stabbed in the face by all the botox in the world. Like ALL OF IT. And every picture I’ve ever seen of him has the same stiff look on his face. So, he’s not even acting. The few times he smiled in the actual drama didn’t make a difference. The character sleeps with his arms crossed over his chest like dracula – which, *rubs brain* I can’t even. Both these couple have no chemistry – like ZERO.
3. Meow and Faiyen – They are the bottoms in the couples. And they are basically children. I’m not sure who wrote this, but these characters should not be in adult relationships. They are CIHLDREN. Faiyen, not so much, he wasn’t too too too bad. But Meow is a child – that’s my sstory and I’m sticking to it. He has the mental capacity of a six year old and that should be problematic for people.
Chawarin Perdpiriyawong (NuNew)Now, let’s talk Cutie Pie.
The acting was good – Zee is a very good actor and he seems to be able to have chemistry with anyone he works with. He has this stare that looks through your soul and I love that. NuNew is new to me (ha! see what I did there?), but it’s obvious he is a talent. A few times I wanted to slap his character, but still a good actor. The chemistry between the two actors is top notch. The Storyline is good – It’s not perfect. They are some holes that I thought they should have fixed. But the premise is good and what they did get right was fantastic.
ADULTS – The characters are adults. Sure, Keau is a dope sometimes, but he doesn’t have the mentality of a six year old.
I don’t understand why anyone would compare these two BLs with each other. And I don’t agree that Meow: Ears Up is better than Cutie Pie the series. Maybe it’s because I like my romance with people who act their age and not stereotypical bottom. We all like what we like, but I don’t get what the allure of a character like Meow in a romantic relationship is–it’s a weird watch for me when a character act like such a child being put in adult situations. Meow’s character if I met him in real life, I’d want to protect him because I’d think either he was a child, or he was stunted in his mental development.
Pruk Panich (Zee Pruk)I don’t think there is anything romantic about that.
While I was irritated with the relationship between Diao and Yi in Cutie Pie, and wanted to shake Keau and smack Lian at times, I still think writing wise, acting wise, production wise – Cutie Pie is still a better drama.
I don’t know.

Secret Crush on You

This post will most likely contain spoilers. So, if you intend on watching this drama, stop reading here, go binge (yes, last ep has been released) and come back later. Be sure to leave a comment.
Okay, while I wait for Mandee to drop the last episode of Cutie Pie the series, I figure I should do this. Before we go futher, This post is going to be different, but keep reading (if you’ve seen the series and don’t mind spoilers), and hear me out – or rather read me out.
See what I did there? Huh? Huh?
*hangs head in shame* I suck at commedy lol.
So I started out hating this drama. Like HATING it. First they got me by saying Saint is a part of the project. Then they got me with a cute trailer, then I started watching it and spent the entire first episode staring at the screen like Arnold from Diff’rent Strokes when he asked “whatchoo talkin’ bout Willis?”
The first thing that bothered me was Toh’s haircut. Jesus Murphy, the haircut is so bad that when I see the actor, I have to read the caption, or the subtitles to be like – OH! That’s the guy who plays TOH on SCOY! He is unrecognizable. And I get it, sometimes that has to be the case but in this, there was no reason for that. Now pair the hair-cut
with the stupid as hell looking glasses and I just wanted to reach through the screen and slap the stylist. I get it, Toh is severly nearsighted. But (if someone had done the reasearch) the glasses wouldn’t be so big it swallows his face. The lense on the glasses would be thicker.
TohAnyways, that’s a small thing and for the most part, I was able to ignore it. Toh’s facial expressions annoyed the hell out of me because–too much. But, let’s focus on why I’m writing this post. While I started out strong disliking this series, and Saint is only in it for a grand total of about two minutes, there is something to be said for the way they handled a few things that I am super happy with.
Before I get to that, however, I’d like to talk about Daisy. She is a trans character that fell hard for a super cute man, InTouch. Now, Intouch loved her for who she was, even though she tried changing because she thought that was what he wanted. But I am super disappointed because they did NOTHING with that storyline. The glossed over the pain Daisy felt after overhearing one of Touch’s friend condemmed her for being “feminine” and just rushed everything–it wasn’t a good arc at all and I’m so sick of these writers introducing FANTASTIC trans-character then just pretend they don’t exist.
*exhales*
Neau – I have to admit, he is the kind of alpha character I love. He will mess you up if you make life hard for his man, but when it comes to how he treats his man, he’s protective, and kind and loving and concerned. You have to really watch for the small things with Neau. The little things he does for Toh and with Toh that you would overlook. And the fact he is a top who bottoms for his man because Toh asked? The love in that is beautiful.
NeauToh – I spent half the series wanting to smack him, cringing at the things he does (like hording things Neau touches or shares with him) and thinking he has a mental illness. Yes, I get he has a crush but bruh–he took it to an entirely creepier level. But I get it. He loves Neau and love makes you do stupid er creepy things. Plus his friends were bad influences on him too. They love him and support him, sometimes I thought, to his detriment. Especially since he obviouslly had a little bit of a hording problem. There is a heart in him that I saw through all of that.
Sky – Mr. I’m Not A Player I Just Crush A Lot. *giggles* Sorry, I had to. But I adore his charaecter. He found a man he fell for instantly and went after that man with his whole heart. He is the kind of secondary alpha that I adore in a story. He knew when to push, when to back off, when to just sit beside Jao silently. He has the patience of a saint because I would have given Jao shaken baby syndrome by like the third episode. His character is best friend to Neua and support his homie through everything. I love that kind of friendship in a story and ALWAYS puts that in the ones I write.
Jao – *deep breath* Good gawd man. Okay, so he has a baby face but there are zero reasons to act like a baby a good 70% of the dang time. There are a few times I wanted to shake him. Like the scene when they were all at the beach. The friends were having breakfast and this man thought “you know what would be hilarious? Pretend to commit suicide and freak out the guy who’s in love with me!” As someone who’s lost someone I care about to suicide, this was not funny and it was in VERY poor taste. Then the scene where he knows Sky loves him, but he’s going to get mad at Sky for being upset, that someone else was trying to chase Jao.
SkyThen, when Sky is telling him “someone chasing you hurts me” this fool walks away! I’m sitting there thinking, he supported you through all your “I look fat” depression and now he’s telling you this one thing hurts him and you’re just going to leave him there. I know a few people don’t agree with my take on this, and they don’t have to. But if your partner is communicating to you that something is hurting them, you don’t leave. You stop, you listen and you be supportive to him as he was to you.
And can I ask what is the obsession in these dramas of when someone gets hurt, the best way ou can think of to tease them is to poke the wound to hurt them? What kind of sickness is that? I mean, who does that?
There was the toxic vagina (of course) played by the same actress who played Tawan’s doctor friend in My Ride the series. I really couldn’t stand her in that drama and disliked her in this one too. It’s like they can’t find anything else to use to split these guys up or cause trouble except a woman and I merely roll my eyes at that now and sometimes fast forward past it each time they appear on the screen.
The Love Scenes – Sweet between Kao/Sky. It was a little sexier than I expected because of the kind of character Kao is. I thought he would full out be a prude. But ladies and getns and non binary cuties, nope *fans self* – the ones with Toh and Neau were sexy, hotter and the last one–that was a fade to black one but–but–hear me out, Toh and Neau had a kind of conversation where Neau gave his consent to bottom for Toh. That entire conversation is sexier than the love scene, I’m not going to lie because the way
Kaothey kind of discussed that was not with words. It was just the way they looked at each other, the lighting, the way Neau held Toh, the way Toh didn’t shy away–*chef’s kiss*
Overall, it isn’t all bad. But I have to warn you, you can’t watch this drama with your logical brain. Yo have to watch it more with your fangirl/fanboy brain. They beautiful things in this drama are so subtle, if you blink you miss them and wind up hating it for being a bit of nothing. I had to watch it twice – as it aired, then watched all the eps again leading up to the last ep to catch a few things.
Overall, this drama isn’t all bad. There are a lot of places that you will cringe – trust me. But if you focus on the smaller things – likethe romance, the intention of the characters and allow yourself to just be silly, you will enjoy it.

I’m so Mad at Myself – Physical Therapy

*massages brain* Where do I even start with this one? First let me say this – this rant will contain spoilers.
After I finished watching My Ride the series, I went looking for a drama to replace it. I read through a few descriptions, watched the trailer and settled on Physical Therapy. I mean, here’s a drama that doesn’t have an engineering student in sight. All the characters are adults, with jobs, because let’s face it, I am sick of high school and college/university students in dramas now. The drama is about a graphic designer (at least I think that’s what Milk is) and a doctor, who seemingly falls in love. But as I watch this drama, I get increasingly confused and frustrated because it’s so disjointed and makes zero sense. At first I thought it was a me problem. Then I checked the comment section on the page on MDL and I have to tell you, other watchers have most of the same questions I have. They are just as confused and mad at themselves for even starting this drama or not dropping it from episode two.
Some of the problems – because they are many and I don’t have the time or the patience to address them all. So, here are my tops ones.
Petch Jakkaphet Phiban – Plays Dr. Pun
Son Ravisut Patipatvasin plays MilkMilk – As a main character, even if we started out hating him, by the time the drama begins to draw to a close, we’re supposed to love him and want him to be happy with our doctor. But nope – there is one episode left and I still dislike this fool. He cannot ever say anything nice to Dr. Pun – even when he does say something reassuring or encouraging, he finds someway of making it weird or runing it. Also, while I can understand him being a virgin (which I don’t think he is because he was in a long term relationship with Ake), he acts like such a child – half the time I want to smack him silly. Granted, he’s not as childish as Can from
Love By Chance
but my lord. There is a scene where he caught Pun um–well, masturbating in the bathroom (because of course no one locks doors in these things) and his question is “What were you doing?” Um–bruh, he was jerking off. Why is it you’re an adult and you don’t know what masturbation is? I could go on and on with the issues I have with this character but ain’t nobody got time for that.Dr. Yang – *exhale the bullshit* Sweet baby Jesus, where do I start with this man? Why was this character even put into the drama? What was his purpose? We get it, he’s Dr. Pun’s best friend. They’ve known each other since they were children, but while Dr. Pun was a good friend to him and is always at his back, Dr. Yang was a shit friend. At one point, this man was even hitting on the man he KNOWS Pun is in love with! That Pun has ALWAYS been in love with. Oh, it gets worse. This man walks around with this confused look on his face a good 99.9% of the time. They keep hinting at some super serious back story for him, but we only have one episode left and nothing came of it. NOTHING. They killed a character to progress this story but they haven’t explaind anything – not the relationship between Dr. Yang and the dead character, not the relationship between Dr. Yang and Dr. Pun’s crazy-ass stalker, not the reason why everyone was freaking out in ep 10 because of pictures of him in bed with one of Milk’s friend – ugh.
Tzuyu – This chick. Okay, you guessed it. Toxic vagina. The one thing this drama did well was have Dr. Pun be upfront with her from the get go that he doesn’t love her. That he wants nothing to do with her. This woman, picked herself up, travels from China to Thailand trying to get him back when he already told her he wasn’t interested in her. Then when he tried to avoid her, she waited outside the hospital all damn day like a stalker then talked Dr. Yang into helping her try to get Dr. Pun to love her. I mean, girl! Then she insinuated herself into their lives, trying to trick Dr. Pun and Milk into being apart, driving little wedges in between them. But luckily, Milk has great friends he doesn’t deserve who always foils her plans. But sis, he doesn’t want you. He never lied and led you on – I HATE this storyline.
The Chemistry between Dr. Pun and Milk – I feel the chemistry from Dr. Pun. Petch Jakkaphet Phiban (Who reminds me of Supanut from My Oxygen ) who plays him is a pretty good actor. The character was loving and tries his best to be the best boyfriend. But I felt nothing coming back from Son Ravisut Patipatvasin who played Milk. The character for Milk was cold and ridiculous and I can’t with him.
The story – what story? Nothing makes any sense. NOTHING! And I wish I was exxagerating. We still don’t know why Ake and Milk broke up. Like we get it, Ake is suffering from depression, but other than that, we have no clue why. We don’t know what the deal is with Dr. Pun’s parents. At first, I thought it was because his father was this wealthy and overbearing man who controls his son’s life and was emotionally abusive. I mean, at one point, his father called, demanded he return to China and off Pun went without question. But then his parents showed up in episode 11 and I’m sitting there thinking – WTF? His father looks like the kind of man who gets walked over by his family. What am I missing? Then they tossed in the weird story with Dr. Yang, Milk’s dead friend and the other friend. Then there’s a weird disjointed story of Milk’s boss, her childhood friend and a boyfriend that doesn’t seem to have a life because he just shows up where she is and sits there watching her like a stalker. And then the storyline of Milk’s sister who was dating someone then realized she was the OTHER woman. Then the kid…. Yup, you read right– this kid popped up in episode 11. The second to last episode. A kid who calls Dr. Pun dad. Don’t ask, we don’t know where the kid came from. A bunch of us are speculating that the kid belongs to Milk’s sister from her affair but it doesn’t explain why he lives with Pun and Milk and why the kid calls Pun “dad”.
The secondary characters – Too many of them. WAYYYYYY too many of them. Milk’s sister Namcha is listed as a guest role, yet she has a major story with a million plot holes. Then add all Milk’s friends, random people that pop in and out, the hospital staff and it becomes a chaotic mess that didn’t need to be that way.
The time jump – Good God. What was the reason? They jumped five years into the furture and Milk and Pun are still “boyfriends.” Milk is still a prude. Dr. Pun, in my head, at this point is a doormat. This kid lives with them and Milk still doesn’t want to sleep with Pun. I don’t know if sex is a deal breaker in Thai relationships but after all the dramas I’ve seen with that, I’m inclined to believe that. But being with your spouse for five years, with no back trauma and still not want to sleep with your lover? And your lover is okay with that? To make matters worse, Milk has a thing about Pun masturbating so this means, he’s gone finve years without sleeping wiht his man or helping himself. I can suspend my disbelief on a lot of things, but damn. Sometimes a time jump works, here, it just didn’t. If anything, it created such massive plot holes, I’m not sure they can fix in the one episode that’s left.
There are tons of other issues with this drama – I’m angry at myself because I got taken in by the trailer and now I’m so disappointed. They needed to take out some of the sub plots and secondary characters. Focus on the main couple and the Dr. Pun storyline. Sometimes more isn’t necessarily the best path to take and in this, more was just bad. So, focus on Pun/Milk and Dr. Yang’s story. We didn’t need the Namcha storyline, we definitely didn’t need a random kid 11 episodes in.
Avoid this one. If you want something with good acting and storyline that follows some kind of order that makes sense, this is not it. If you want something similar, go watch My Oxygen some of it is ridiculous but at least you’ll get a story that won’t hurt your brain and make you question your intelligence.

My frustration with My Ride the Series

This will mostly likely have spoilers.
I almost gave up on this series. It isn’t a secret they had issues coming up with funds to make it, and after waiting for a while, I merely shrugged, removed it from my plan to watch list and moved on. Then we got news they were actually making it, but it would only be eight episodes. Again, I shrugged and re-added it to my list. After all, a short series is better than nothing.
When they announced casting, I didn’t know who Fluke Pongsakorn Wongpian (played Mork) was and definitely didn’t know who Fame Chawinroj Likitchareonsakul (played Tawan) was either. Even though Fame had been in a few things, they aren’t things I’ve watched. But there was something about the description of the drama that just called to me – well, I’m not gonna lie, Fluke’s dimples did too.
*blush*
I recognized Yoon Phusanu (Nott from YYY) and Nu Surasak (Teep from Lovely Writer) and that further endeared me to the series. Then it was finally released and the issues behind that almost made me walk away again.
First, they released it without english subtitles and with no way for international viewers to watch. I’m not entirely sure what GMM was thinking because they hadn’t done that before. And at that point, I was over it. I dropped it and went about my day. While others watched on streaming sites, my computer is kind of how I make a living, and I don’t trust these website not to cause virus etc.
I wasn’t going to risk it.
Fame plays TawanI’m not sure what happened next but suddenly, I was informed that Gagaoolala would cary it. I was happy. Resubscribed to the service and waited for it to drop. They dropped the first five episodes immediately, then it was suppsed to be every Friday until the conclusion.
That was another headache all over again.
Gagaoolala would put a release date for the next episode – most people would get it–people in Thailand but international viewers would still be locked out from seeing it. This means the spoilers would be everywhere and two days later, Gagaoolala would release it to inters.
Then another week, they kept moving the release date back and forth – I’m not sure who was running the ship for this series.
Then the actual series.
Let’s start with what I liked.
The main story was sweet. Fame and Fluke had amazing chemistry. All they had to do was look at each other and I melt. The way Mork looked at Tawan, was always there for him to the detriment of his own heart. *sighs* That’s 1000 percent a romance hero. The scenery. This drama made me message my friend from India going – “when i get my shit together, wanna go to Thailand with me?” She says yes but we have to stop in India first. I don’t see a downside here.
The friends – Mork’s friends. They are everything. Supportive, lovely, fools you can’t take anywhere – my kind of people.
The elderly gay couple – Mork’s uncles – we NEED more of them in a series. More older LGBT couples who aren’t miserable or hiding their relationship. They gave me LIFE!
Fluke’s dimples – do I really need to explain this?
Now, what I wasn’t a fan of.
Fluke – plays MorkThe Trans character – They started a story with a trans woman and then abandoned it. Like, bruh, we saw her. WE SAW HER! Why just drop it like
there’s nothing to see here
? That infuriated me. Tul Pakorn is right – BLs need to show all kinds of LGBT+ people and starting a story with beautiful goddess and then just pretend you didn’t do it, what was the point of that? The toxic vagina syndrome – seriously? Can we please use something else to move the plot along? We’ve done the toxic vagina storyline to death! It’s always a female that comes in and wrecks everything. Let’s move it along now, please.
The last misunderstanding – SERIOUSLY!? That could have been handled better. The fact Tawan didn’t tell Mork how he felt then got butt hurt when he saw Mork wiht Miss Thang makes no sense. If Mork knew how Tawan felt and had done that, then yes, I would agree with how that played out. But neither of these guys are mind readers. That whole thing was unecessary.
Time management – We could have done with 2 more episodes. The last ep was rushed. It was a good moment, but it was rushed. And I cringe to even imagine what mess only 8 episodes would have been. If they were pressed for budget and tmie, they could have cut out the Trans character storyline (since they did NOTHING with it) as well as the coffeeshop guy/female doctor storyline. I didn’t care much for those two because the female was a bit of a dits. That would have given them plenty more time to further develop Tawan/Mork as well as the secondary BL couple Toy/Boss. There was an ENTIRE backstory to Boss that they kind of just glossed over and explaind nothing.
Toy/Boss – More. There was entirely too little of them. I get they are secondary characters, but the fact that the writer startedout with this deep, indepth story then just let the bottom fall out of it – *sighs*
I did enjoy this series. I just wished certain things would have been better. A lot of people are going to complain about Por and the cheating, but that’s not any worse than most of the other stuff in other dramas like dubious concent, rape, physical and emotional abuse. That I understand was something used to move the story along. I have no issues with that.
I feel as if there could ahve been more and I am hestant to judge because this might be all they had the budget for.
But *sigh*
Yes I would recommend MY RIDE the series. I know Mork’s dimples can’t be the only reason I recommend int so–if you want something fluffy and super cute with very little stress. It’s a fun watch, I’m just in a mood, I guess.
