Jim Kochanoff’s specialty is action/adventure, putting the reader into adrenaline driven stories. His first novel “Men of Extreme Action” is based on the action movie industry and is signed with Toonz Animation of India to be produced as an animated television pilot.

He is the former production manager of the animated children series, “The Hippo Tub Co.” airing on the CBC and created by Canadian musician Anne Murray.

He is the Chairman of the Nova Scotia SPCA and uses the proceeds from his children’s book towards this worthy charity. He is Chartered Professional Accountant (CMA) and works for the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness. Interesting concept and execution. Although alot of the characters get killed off, there is still enough to make you care about the end result.

Easy to read romance/fantasy. Interesting main characters, villains tend to provide too much back story but story you want to finish.

I enjoyed more than the first book as the story was well established. So much pain and sorrow - even the ending felt sad.

I enjoyed the previous James Rollins novel I read called the Eye of God. Felt there was too many stories and characters to follow in this one but it ended strong.

Liked the concept of exploring hell and the two main characters. Felt the story could have been paced better and there was no real villain (until the end) to defeat.

I found the writing hard to enjoy - there was little dialogue mostly the thoughts of the main character.
