An accomplished ghostwriter, Chris Hammer was born in Queens, NY and started writing at the age of eight when she wrote a short story about a donkey. The dye was pretty well cast from there.
Currently working on the fourth installment in her Dysorganized Crime Series, Chris Hammer's love of writing is exceeded only by her love of animals. She uses her celebrity to speak for those who have no voice and in 2010 founded Irving House Animal Sanctuary to care for special-needs and senior animals. She shares her home with a menagerie of furry and feathered family on LI's East End.

I am currently working on the fourth installment as well as a new series which I hope readers will enjoy. I haven't decided how long I will keep Dys going. I guess as long as I can keep it fresh. I'm glad you got the "dys". I always wonder if readers think it's a typo - lol!(less)

I like an author who can surprise me, or at least write without predictability, and while The Divergent managed to keep up a page turning pace, The Fault In Our Stars did not. I knew almost from the start the truth behind Anna's identity and I found the "reclusive" author's sudden amiable willingness to correspond with Gus much too convenient. Thanks for asking!.(less)
