Hi Sarah,
Well this is certainly a late answer! I didn't even know that Goodreads listed questions for writers so far down on our author dashboards. I expect you are all grown up now, but I wanted to apologize for never answering, and I want to thank you for your kind interest. I am sure the poiont is moot now, but I am a sewing nincompoop. I really don't know what material was used in cloaks in medieval technologies: wool, I expect. But as the Wise Woman comes from the Diamond Isles, I would also guess that their superior skills would have created a blend of wool and silk. I am just about certain that this no longer matters to you, and I am so sorry that I never saw your question. I do hope that you are still reading.

Thank you for your kind interest,
Jeri(less)

VALKYRIES VALKYRIES by Jeri Massi

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A truly rare coming of age story, blending elements of boarding school memoir, sports thriller, and Christian conversion. Tracey Jacamuzzi's story is told with passion and plenty of humor, but there is a gut wrenching quality to the narrative that makes it a page turner from start to finish. -- Indiana Home Schoolers
