Hi! I'm L.B. Autry. I am a debut poet and self-published author. I have a second poetry book in the works as well as a young adult novel that is anticipated to be released in the coming year, 2024. I look forward to publishing more books in the near future so be on the lookout for new releases!

I am based in sunny Los Angeles, CA where I live as a full-time dog-mom and part-time caregiver. Fun fact, I make up one-thirds of a writing and artist team, Coco Bun Studios. I partner with my good friends to produce fun, fresh and unique comics, webtoons, poetry, and novels. I look forward to future collaborations with my Coco Bun Buddies.

My great-grandfather was murdered in cold blood on his very own porch. Shot to death in the middle of the night. The killer got away and the mystery as to why this happened remains unsolved down to this day.

My great-great-grandfather's murder was less of a mystery because my family knows why he was killed. It was the 'who' that got us stumped. My great-great-grandfather was one of the rare few black people at the time to own a business and land, and people wanted it. So, they drove up to his porch and shot him in front of his family. The killers still remain a mystery. (less)

Long hours of digging through past writings of my twenties were spent during the drafting process. Sweat and tears were put into this book, but I am so pleased with Read more of this blog post »
