Alice: Winter's Story is Now Kindle Unlimited and Other Updates
Hello everyone. I wanted to update all of you about what is going on. So lets get started.
First of all, the dark fantasy western, Alice: Winter's Story has just officially shuffled over to Kindle Unlimited and is now a Kindle Exclusive. So if you use Kindle Unlimited, you can read it for free. I hope you enjoy that. And I will post synopsis and link down below if you want to learn more about it.
The world of Wonderland has been broken for two decades. The looking glasses are broken. The red queen has taken a tyrannical reign over the land. And every Alice who stumbles into Wonderland is trapped there with no way home. This story follows Alice Winters as she travels through west to through Checkerboard Desert searching for the fabled key to unlock the original mirror to go home. But the desert is one of the roughest places of Wonderland. Cut throats are at every turn. Bounty hunters want to deliver her head to the queen and the monsters of Wonderland stand in the way of her mission.
Find it in the Amazon Story @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KRF9KWQ
Free if you have Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Only $.99 if you purchase it.
Also, another short is about to arrive to Kindle Unlimited as well. It's the short, My Name Is.... It follows a runaway teenager who is cursed as by a witch, and must find a cure before she loses all of her memories. Right now, I am waiting on it to be removed from other online retailers to be part of the Kindle Unlimited program. So it won't be enrolled until next week. I can’t say when exactly next week. It will be enrolled on Monday by the earliest. Most likely it will be enrolled by midweek though. I will certainly post the news on Twitter when it happens, and it will be announced more formally in the next blog once it’s officially enrolled and out for people to read.
As far as new stuff goes, the short Socks and Fluffle Puffs (formally called socks and Huffle Puffs. The name had to be changed for obvious reasons) has just finished its second round of editing. It's about to go into the final round of polishing with the read out loud audio story editing process I've been using over last year. Which has been working well for me by the way. The cover is sketched out in my art book, so it is close to done. And it shouldn't take too long to finish. It’s a cutesy little sweet tale about a seven year old who travels through a dryer to save her socks from living dandelion puffs. It’s much more kid friendly than anything I ever done, so I have no idea how well it will do. So I hope someone enjoys it.
After Socks and Fluffle Puffs, I'm returning back to the next story in The Last Witch series called The Battle of Minerva. And that will be next new publication out. I was planning that at some point between the last three stories in The Last Witch series, to work on and post, a scifi horror called Meteor City. But I am not sure yet where that will fit in because it is a bit long for a short. Along with that I do have a little bit of back library of recorded audio stories again. So I am planning on figuring out how to go about that again. I’m not sure if I can guarantee a weekly schedule and I have to find a new video maker (Windows movie maker I used before has been discontinued) to get the stuff on Youtube, and I have to make my Patreon active again. I'll give more updates, once I figure things out.
Oh and also, I'm always behind on sharing my book review blog. So I will post the most recent reviews down below.

Free Short Story Promotions Are Continuing Thru the Summer
Hello there everyone! I wanted to update you all about what is going on.
First off, I am slowly working my way through polishing the final draft of the dark fantasy Once Upon a Time in Boston. And I am also revising an old silly spy story Sam & Miguel’s Run and a horror book Palm’s Inn for Kindle Unlimited enrollment. And all of this will be done when it’s done. Right now, I am working on all of this book stuff when time allows. Life has been very busy lately.
But beyond that, I wanted to do something to help advertise my stuff. Last summer I did weekly free short story promotions, and over the course of those months I gave away 111 short stories total. And I thought, “Why not do that this year again?” It may help me get some reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. And also, I have to honest here. I don’t make any money with these things. I wish I made more than pocket change and could make a living off of storytelling. But there is no sign of that ever happening in the near future. So why not run a bunch of free story promos so that people can have a chance to read them? It certainly couldn’t hurt.
Last week, I ran a promotion on the dark fantasy tale, Alice: Winter’s Story. And I think I will continue the promotions for the Alice series over the next couple of weeks. This week, the free short story will be Alice: Stone’s Story. It’s about a different Alice set in the same dark Wonderland. I will post the synopsis down below.
Alice: Stone’s Story
Wonderland is broken, and every Alice who stumbles in is trapped in a nightmare world. Some Alices become fighters. Other becomes con artists scrapping by. Alice Stone is a coward. An ex card soldier for the Red Queen, who is running from her captures hoping to find somewhere safe. But when she reaches Diamond City, the last free city of Wonderland, she will have to find her courage to survive.
This story will be FREE on Kindle from May 26th to May 30th. You can find it at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0776MR6CC
And that is what I have to share this week. I hope you enjoy this news. And I hope you all have a great week. I will be back blogging more soon.

Final Draft of Once Upon a Time in Boston is Done & The Free Short Story For This Week
Hi there everyone! It’s time for another round of updates. And there are actually some real updates this week. So let’s get started.
First off, I have a huge update on Once Upon a Time in Boston. It’s done. The final draft is completed. All of the editing is complete. What’s left to do is now is formatting and polishing up the cover art. Then this weird dark fantasy tale about a boy and cursed girl trying to save a wintery sad world from a race of raven monsters will arrive sometime in the near future. This project has went through so many drafts and expansions that it took very long time to get to this state. So it’s just great to get the finish line. Now I hope to get it to all of you soon.
Beyond that what is happening next? I still am revising Sam & Miguel’s Run and Palm’s Inn in the background so they can be enrolled in Kindle Unlimited. Then, I still intend the next project to be Siren on Berry Avenue. It’s a very YA urban fantasy. For me it’s the perfect project to work on after working so long on tale that has so many themes of melancholy in it. I hope when I share it with the Scribophile writing community, it will get warm reception. If it does, that will be the main project in the near future.
And the summer short story giveaways are continuing. This week, I think I’ll share a fantasy story, My Name Is. I’ll post the synopsis down below.
My name is Amber. I don't remember much else because I've been forgetting so much lately. But I do remember I am a girl and this old witch has turned me into a crow. And I know I must find a way to break this curse before I forget everything entirely.
This short story will be FREE from June 23rd to June 27th. You can claim your ebook copy at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KSRUTCS .
And that is what I have for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Once Upon A Time in Boston is Finally Out & Will Be Free This Week!
Hello there. It’s been another week and there is another round of updates, and there are a few fun ones today. So let’s get started.
First of all, Once Upon a Time in Boston is done. Finally Reggi’s and Tai’s strange dark odyssey is complete and will be out this week. It has just been uploaded to KDP and should be on the Amazon store front soon. And it’s great to put to get it out there. This tale has went through so many drafts and revisions. It has been expanded so much since the first short story draft. Now I can say it’s done officially and everyone will have a chance to read this strange dark fantasy novella on their Kindles. I really hope those who read it will enjoy the weird dark tale featuring the undead, bird monsters, an eternal winter, and a desperate attempt to fix a broken world.
Beyond that, I have made progress with my next work in progress. I am pretty much set on making The Siren on Berry Ave, my next official project. Sure. I should maybe return to a much shorter horror called Nowhere and work on that. It’s closer to done. But Once Upon a Time in Boston, takes place in a tragic and sad world. And even though it does end up having a happy ending of sorts, I spent six months working on something that dealt with heavy dark themes. So for me, I need this change of pace. Siren on Berry Ave is about a half siren moving in with her adoptive family. It has teenage drama with a side of monsters. It’s not too heavy. And just a couple days ago, I submitted my first draft to Scribophile to see what some beta readers are going to say about. I really do hope the reviews are good. It’s a very simple tale. It shouldn’t demand all the work that Boston did in the last few months. Also if you are a member of the Scribophile writing community, feel free to find my account and take a look at rough draft. Maybe you’ll like it.
And of course the summer of free book deals are still continuing. And this week, the free story is Once Upon a Time in Boston. I know it seems premature for any sort of promotion for this. But I really like the idea of getting this into a lot of hands on release week, so you all can have a chance to read it at no cost, and possibly some of you will leave some friendly reviews. I will post the synopsis below.
The world broke decades ago. An eternal winter has engulfed the Earth. The dead no longer pass on, becoming souls trapped in decaying bodies. Humanoid feathered creatures known as Ravens come to collect the souls to escort them to the mysterious council to move on to the afterlife. Many people have come to believe the Ravens are angels; doing God's work until the cosmos are fixed.
Tai is a teenager who learns this is a lie. The Ravens are doing something nefarious with the souls, and those who die are not moving on after death. Angry and frustrated with the recent loss of a loved one, Tai does something rash. He decides he will try to stop the Ravens. He will try to fix the world, and overthrow this mysterious council. But he's not doing it alone. He has found the aid of a Raven who holds a grudge against the council as well.
You can grab your free Kindle copy of this dark fantasy from July 14th to July 18th. It is available at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09947RR69.
And that is what I have this week. It was a lot more exciting than usual, and there was actually a new release this week. I hope you all enjoy the new story and have a great week!

A New Alice Story, Siren On Berry Ave Status, & Other Updates
Hello everyone. I hope you have all been well. I know it has been a few weeks since my previous blog, and there’s a good reason for that. Because the summer of weekly giveaways is over, I didn’t want to blog again until I had more to actually share. So now that I actually have some updates to share, I wanted to blog.
First off, I think the summer of free e story giveaways went okay. Seventy something people took advantage of the free short stories. And a couple people have actually left good reviews recently, and hopefully more will trickle in over time. So time will tell if it will boost my Goodreads and Amazon rating or not. But I’m glad that at least I know a couple people are enjoying my work.
Beyond that I have finally settled on a short to go through editing process and eventually to Kindle. It is another Alice story. It’s yet another tale of an Alice set in a dark Wonderland. This Alice is Alice Rosa. She’s a Brazilian Alice who fell into the world of Hatters and madness. It follows her as she tries to escort a prince away from the City of Clubs, while trying to keep her madness in check. It’s just been uploaded to Scribophile to see what Beta readers think of it. This one is a little more experimental as the lead suffers from mental illness, and I am curious what people will think. Hopefully the reactions will be good and the editing process will be short and will be on Kindle in some timely manner.
Then, the project, The Siren on Berry Ave is a work in process and I think I may have figured out how to tackle the project. The first story is up on Scribophile with very good reviews.
But I enjoyed the characters and the world so much that I wanted to do a lot more with it. I wanted to make a collection of stories with an overall arch like I did with The Last Witch, and then release them all at once. But after a couple months it’s not working. Where with The Last Witch, I wrote all the stories back to back in a number of months with a strong vision of what each one should be and how it should all end, that is not the case for Siren on Berry Ave. In fact I feel like I am forcing these stories to happen to meet a desired ending, instead of writing individual tales that would be fun on their own.
So I am going to change my plan. I am not going to wait months or years for the right ideas to come to me for a collection with an appropriate underlying story. Instead, I am going to take my time and release them one at a time and hope readers will one day want to follow these shorts as they are written opposed to the all at once approach I wanted to do originally. Right now I have three sequel stories written. Two are not on par with original tale, but the third is good enough. That tale is called The Scarabs from Tullah. So right now, since the reviews are so good on
The Siren on Berry Ave, I hope to finish editing that in the near future. And The Scarabs from Tullah will be typed off out of the notebook it currently sits in and will be uploaded to Scribophile for Beta readers to review as well. That is the status of the whole project right now. I should have just published the original story months ago, but I over complicated things thinking I could make it part of something grander and now here I am again at square one. I apologize more that.
Also there’s some news about Palm’s Inn. I am currently revising the book. Seeing how I self-published it so young, I wanted to really go through it and clean it up. And I am about a third through it now. Every Sunday I am updating the draft on KDP with the revisions finished up until that point. And so far, aside from some small typos and awkward sentence structures it really wasn’t as rough of a draft as I was expecting. So it’s not as daunting as I would have suspected. Hopefully that will be completely revised in the near future.
And that is all I have to share this week. Hopefully some I’ll have new stuff in the future. But that is in works right now. I hope you all have a good week, and I will be blogging again when I have more to share.

Once Upon a Time in Boston is the Next Indie April Giveaway…...Also The Giveaway Last Week Went Very Well.
Hello everyone! I’m back with another blog all about my writings and fun stuff like giveaways. So what’s been going on since the last blog, which was a week ago? And the answer is not a lot.
I actually had an awful virus over the past week. So I couldn’t do much of anything. But in my windows of feeling not quite so dead, I did dust off an old notebook and started writing a story. It has a young woman who inherits an estate from billionaire grandfather she never knew she had, a djinn, and it might be a murder mystery of some sort. It is a fun project so far. I hoping it will turn out to be something nice that I can publish and share with all of you in the future.
And then there is another thing that happened. This last week was the first Indie April give away. I gave away the kindle version of Rainy Day Hotel. And for this giveaway I used the powers of Twitter, Threads, Goodreads, and Substack combined to push this. And despite the terrible launch of this book, it did pretty well. For the first time, one of my works landed on an Amazon top ten list. It ranked number 7 in pulp thrillers, and that is amazing for me. None of my stuff ever ranked that high on Amazon. I also got a four-star review, which I am happy with. And I hope there are more positive reviews to come. Did I giveaway hundreds? No. But a modest number of people now have or will at some point read the story. And I call that a success. It went very well.
But what is next? Well this week, it the giveaway switching from scifi horror, to horror dark fantasy, featuring the walking dead, monstrous birds being worshipped as angels, an eternal winter, and teen who’s trying to set the world right again It’s called Once Upon a Time in Boston, and it will be free from April 10th to April 14th.

And that’s all I really got for this week. Just another giveaway. Will this go as well as Rainy Day Hotel? Will another one of my novellas end up on a top ten list again? Who knows? Let’s just see what happens. I will be blogging again soon.
P.S. Thank you to any all of you who gave my work a chance last week. You have no idea how much I really do appreciate it!
