| I found this book interesting as the setting was in the time of my birth. I found value in contemplating what the suburb housewife experience might have been then. Many women of today do not understand the contraints and limits that women faced in th ...more | |

“What would I have wanted to say if I had had the opportunity to see him one more time? I would like to think that I would have kept it simple and said, “I love you,” then just held his hand in silence, letting that thought linger in the space of the time we had left together.”

“In Senegal, the polite expression for saying someone died is to say his or her library has burned. When I first heard the phrase, I didn’t understand it, but over time I came to realize it was perfect. “When you come across something that you cannot part with, think carefully about its true purpose in your life. You’ll be surprised at how many of the things you possess have already fulfilled their role. By acknowledging their contribution and letting them go with gratitude, you will be able to truly put the things you own, and your life, in order. In the end, all that will remain are the things that you really treasure. To truly cherish the things that are important to you, you must first discard those that have outlived their purpose.”

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”

Hi Chellie, thanks for your comment and suggestion of The Wealthy Spirit. I am going to check it out! I am glad your latest book is doing well too. I am writing a new book right now. Perhaps we can do a review swap! Cheers, Lisa
Hi, Lisa,Great to know a fellow author here! I see you've written many books - very impressive - I will check them out.
My 3rd book has just been released last week: From Worry to Wealthy: A Woman's Guide to Financial Success Without the Stress" and it's doing well so I'm happy.
I read "Illusions" many years ago when it first came out and still quote it "What you teach best is what you need most to learn"...ain't that the truth! Also read "Many Lives" and lots more in that genre. You might enjoy my book along those lines "The Wealthy Spirit" which is a page-a-day book.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Chellie
