“It behooves me to remember as I advance in age that death is an inevitable part of the life cycle rather than a medical failure.”
Lisa J. Shultz, A Chance to Say Goodbye: Reflections on Losing a Parent

“Clutter may rob us of the life we imagined or prevent us from creating a new vision for our future.”
Lisa J. Shultz, Lighter Living: Declutter. Organize. Simplify.

“What would I have wanted to say if I had had the opportunity to see him one more time? I would like to think that I would have kept it simple and said, “I love you,” then just held his hand in silence, letting that thought linger in the space of the time we had left together.”
Lisa J. Shultz, A Chance to Say Goodbye: Reflections on Losing a Parent

“Our minds and souls contain volumes inscribed by our experiences and emotions; each individual’s consciousness is a collection of memories we’ve cataloged and stored inside us, a private library of a life lived.”
Susan Orlean, The Library Book

“In Senegal, the polite expression for saying someone died is to say his or her library has burned. When I first heard the phrase, I didn’t understand it, but over time I came to realize it was perfect. Our minds and souls contain volumes inscribed by our experiences and emotions; each individual’s consciousness is a collection of memories we’ve cataloged and stored inside us, a private library of a life lived.”
Susan Orlean, The Library Book

“When you come across something that you cannot part with, think carefully about its true purpose in your life. You’ll be surprised at how many of the things you possess have already fulfilled their role. By acknowledging their contribution and letting them go with gratitude, you will be able to truly put the things you own, and your life, in order. In the end, all that will remain are the things that you really treasure. To truly cherish the things that are important to you, you must first discard those that have outlived their purpose.”
Marie Kondo, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore

“Make your own Bible. Select and collect all the words and sentences that in all your readings have been to you like the blast of a trumpet.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Lisa J Shultz Hi Chellie, thanks for your comment and suggestion of The Wealthy Spirit. I am going to check it out! I am glad your latest book is doing well too. I am writing a new book right now. Perhaps we can do a review swap! Cheers, Lisa

Chellie Campbell Hi, Lisa,

Great to know a fellow author here! I see you've written many books - very impressive - I will check them out.

My 3rd book has just been released last week: From Worry to Wealthy: A Woman's Guide to Financial Success Without the Stress" and it's doing well so I'm happy.

I read "Illusions" many years ago when it first came out and still quote it "What you teach best is what you need most to learn"...ain't that the truth! Also read "Many Lives" and lots more in that genre. You might enjoy my book along those lines "The Wealthy Spirit" which is a page-a-day book.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Chellie
