I just finished my 10th read-through of The Two Towers. Great stuff! The ending is particularly good. My two favorite characters really take form in the last 100 pages or so - Faramir and Sam. People claim that his read isn't as good as it's predecess ...more |

I thoroughly enjoyed the finale of the Reckoners. I didn't expect it to end the way it did, but that is definitely not a bad thing. I love the conflict between David and Prof, and I loved the character discovery for Megan. Alternate dimension stuff? A ...more |

This is definitely my favorite out of the three in the series. I first read it in high school and became completely obsessed. Later, the movies came out. Peter Jackson did a great job displaying Middle-Earth. Tolkien originally wanted the three books ...more |

| This book took me over a year to complete! There were struggles in the beginning, mostly because I started writing it from Ren Suzuki's perspective. The dark tone of the book didn't fit with his lighthearted nature, so I archived those chapters and s ...more | |

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
― The Fellowship of the Ring

The crownless again shall be king.”

“Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.”

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

Hey man, I can't seem to find a way to direct message you, so I will just leave a comment I suppose. Anyway, I know you like Sanderson, so I wanted to recommend The Powder Mage trilogy by Brian Mcclellan. He was actually a student of Sanderson, and just finished his first trilogy which I really think you would like. The first book is Promise of Blood - so give it a go next time you're looking for a new book to read... I found the worldbuidling to be really awesome and easy to follow... you don't feel like you need to take notes like you do with some of Sanderson's books.
