ELIZABETH D. MARIE is the author of several fiction works, including her epic fairytale retellings series Crown of Stars. She has been writing and imagining worlds since she was a child - where stories like The Chronicles of Narnia helped shape her imagination and draw her closer to the Master Storyteller and Creator.

Her heart is to provide clean, epic fiction for teens and adults. She believes in the power of stories and the truths they are meant to remind us of: that there is an unseen battle taking place, and we are a part of that battle. “Men blamed wolves and beast-like monsters for wicked passions and vicious killings, but the cruelty of their own hearts ran far deeper than a common beast's actions ever could.”
Elizabeth D. Marie, Hunting Red, Part I

“If you are unsure about love, then look for a man who understands gentleness; who it passionate about honorable things; who will act swiftly to protect you, whether it be from the sword or even from little things—like cruel words and things that frighten you; who is patient and certain in his own strengths and abilities, and does not need to prove to any man or woman that he is better than they are.”
Elizabeth D. Marie, Seeking Giants

“The wolves are coming.”
Elizabeth D. Marie, Hunting Red, Part I

“I've been saying it so long to you, you just wouldn't listen. Every time you said 'Farm Boy do this' you thought I was answering 'As you wish' but that's only because you were hearing wrong. 'I love you' was what it was, but you never heard.”
William Goldman, The Princess Bride

“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
Dr. Seuss

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Anonymous, Holy Bible: New International Version

“We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there's nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all.

Most of us would prefer, however, to spend our time doing something that will get immediate results. We don't want to wait for God to resolve matters in His good time because His idea of 'good time' is seldom in sync with ours.”
Oswald Chambers

“If through a broken heart God can bring His purposes to pass in the world, then thank Him for breaking your heart.”
Oswald Chambers
