New Transcender Cover and Book Trailer
I'm thrilled to have unveiled the new book cover for TRANSCENDER: First-Timer today. I was never really satisfied that the original cover adequately conveyed the feeling of the story. The new cover nails it as far as I'm concerned. Most of the retail sites have already replaced the old cover, but the new one has not shown up on Goodreads yet, a situation I am trying to rectify.
Also I've posted my first book trailer for Transcender which features the new cover. Please take a look at it when you have a minute and let me know what you think.
Both the cover and trailer were produced by the phenominal Carrie Drazek Productions, and I couldn't be happier.
Of course the readers are what really matters. I hope you like them!
As a side note, I recently completed the first draft of Streaming Stars, Book 2 of the Transcender Trilogy. I hope to have it ready for publication within 60 to 90 days!

In addition, I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know that I’m revising my review policy somewhat. Up until now, I’ve had a fairly hard and fast rule not to review books in the same genre in which I write (i.e., YA paranormal fantasy). It just didn’t feel right reviewing my “competition,” so to speak. Lately, however, I’ve had a number of requests for reviews, some from authors whose work I admire, and I’ve been forced to reconsider my self-imposed rule. As a result, you will be seeing more reviews of YA books from me. Most of them will be 4 or 5 star reviews for two reasons (1) if a book doesn't sweep me up and carry me away within the first twenty pages or so, I usually set it aside for more interesting pursuits; and (2) I believe that every author who actually finishes a book and brings it to publication has poured his or her heart and soul into the work, and I have no desire to trash someone else’s baby simply because I personally wasn’t into it. I’ll leave that delicate task to the pros. The exception will be when a book has received an enormous amount of press and/or paid publicity and just doesn’t live up to the hype. Then I believe it’s fair to advise readers not to waste their money.
