So here is a little update on the collection I am doing with my brother, Jamie Meeks called Brother's Ilk. The book is all but done, just in the editing stages right now with the cover and the book format already picked. The book looks like it will be a wild ride, with Jamie's bizzaro style and my own style (whatever you would class it as). Fans of At the Gates of Madness will know what to expect, and will even get a sequel to Open Book in it. There are 15 stories in it all together, including a novella by each of us, with an introduction by Jamie and a slightly lengthy afterward by yours truly. We are hoping to have everything done and have the book out by the end of the month or early Feb. Here is the TOC as it stands:

In two weeks I will be ready to ship out early PDF copies of the new collection of fiction I put together with my brother called Brother's Ilk. Unlike with At the Gates of Madness, I thought this will help with getting the word out and seeing reviews online and in print. If you are a reviewer that I haven't already spoken to about this, and would like a PDF copy to review, or if you know someone that does reviews on horror books, feel free to contact me here or on Facebook and I'll be glad to send one out when they are ready.

Brother's Ilk is out now in both print and digital formats. Currently it is only available on Amazon, but will be up on Barnes and Noble, Tower and many other sources soon. The print version is $16.99 and the digital is $2.99. The book contains 14 stories (well 15 if you count the hidden story), two of them are novellas. The book melds James' bizzaro style with mine, giving readers a chance to see many different styles of horror. Here is where you can find it:

If anyone in this world knows about horror, it's mothers. From dirty diapers to projectile vomit, all the way to pregnancy scares, they know terror. And sometimes the best way to deal with real terror is to lose yourself in some over the top, made-up horror. That's why for this Mother's Day, I am offering both At the Gates of Madness and Brother's Ilk for the low price of FREE. All you need is a Kindle, or a computer with a Cloud reader, or some fancy program that my fragile little brain can't comprehend and it's yours, digital and free. That's pretty good seeing as there are a total of 34 stories (though two are hidden) between the books and you won't need to spend a dime (unless you buy a Kindle, then you have already spent several dimes).
But hey, even if you aren't getting it for you mom because she prefers Jane Austen and crumpets or Fifty Shades of Grey and privacy, you could just get it for yourself. I won't mind. Promise.
But the sale doesn't start until tomorrow, mothers and mother lovers, so don't head over until then...unless you want to see me get paid, which is nice too.
