Midian Unmade Table of Contents
Last week I received an email announcing the ToC for the upcoming book, Midian Unmade: Tales of Clive Barker's Nightbreed. The book is due out next spring from Tor and features 23 short stories that follow up where Cabal/Nightbreed left off. There will be a forward by Joseph Nassise and an introduction by Clive Barker himself.
I will have a story in this as well, one called "And Midian Whispered Its Name". When I decided to write and submit a story for this, it was hard for me to choose the road I would take. Would I follow Boone, Peloquin, Kinski, or would I make a new central character? In the end, I think I took a bit of a chance with the story I told and I'm more than a little thrilled to see that it was excepted and will be included in a book thick with talented writers. It's always fun to see your name in an anthology with people you've read and respect. Not to mention how great it was to expand on a world created by Clive Barker that I love so much.
Well, without further ado, here's the ToC for the book:
Midian Unmade: Tales of Clive Barker's Nightbreed
Edited by Joseph Nassise and Del Howison
Foreword by Joseph Nassise
Introduction by Clive Barker
A Return to Midian by Lisa Majewski

What's new
It's been a busy time here on the home front since I last posted a blog. Last month, the long awaited Midian Unmade: Tales of Clive Barker's Nightbreed was released, and it's been getting great reviews. Not only that, but my story, And Midian Whispered Its Name, was even mentioned in Rue Morgue. How cool is that?
As you know (if you've been reading these), I also finished work on my new novel, Maymon and shipped it off to a publisher. No word yet, but these things take time. Maymon is an occult horror novel.
I also finished up writing the second Dillon novel, Earthbound and Down, and that one is set to be published in mid 2016. This one picks up where The Gate at Lake Drive and introduces new characters that will play big roles in next books.
I've already begun my next non-Dillon novel and I'm nearly halfway through writing it. It's called Gone Crazy...Be Back Soon. Even though there are a lot of horror elements this one is a bit different than my normal style of writing.
I've also put together a short collection of short stories (6 in all) that all take place in the south, mainly Kentucky. This book will be called Blood in the Hills and the stories will range from Lovecraftian, to ghost stories, to human horror. It should be due out early 2016.
Also, in time for Halloween, Dark Reaches is finally getting released. This is my third collection of short stories and will feature some previously published short stories (The Soldier, Dreams of a Dead Man and Taut) as well as new fiction (The Cleansing, Mr. Stand and Mommy's Little Demon). Still working on the cover, but stay tuned for the release next month.
I have a few short stories coming out in magazines and anthologies. The next one will be in a collection called All That Remains (from JEA Press). This one features my story called Under the Apple Tree.
Writing is about to slow down though. At the end of October I will be going away for two weeks to the most badass place a horror writer could go. That's right, Walt Disney World. I'll be heading there on October 31st with Mina for 14 days! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love it there and at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I might write about all things bloody and gooey, but there's still a big kid in my and I embrace that side fully. If you can't have a little fun and silliness in your life, you're not really living.

Voting Time!
Well, it's that time of year again. Polls are open to vote for novels and short stories I've written. Right now, I'm on the list for a novel and a short story. Last year, the votes helped me hit second place which is amazing because there were so many great writers on the list, so thanks.
Below I have links to the novel and short story category. All you have to do is click each link, click my story and fill out your name, email address (don't worry they don't spam) and the security thingy. Then, respond to the email and it's good to go. Only one vote counts, so you can only vote once in each category.
And don't forget to check out the other categories. So many talented people on the list!
