Vashti Quiroz-Vega is a writer of Fantasy, Horror, and Thriller. Since she was a kid she's always had a passion for writing and telling stories. It has always been easier for her to express her thoughts on paper.

She enjoys reading almost as much as she loves to write. Some of her favorite authors are Stephen King, Michael Crichton, Anne Rice, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling and George R. R. Martin.

She enjoys making people feel an array of emotions with her writing. She likes her audience to laugh one moment, cry the next and clench their jaws after that.

When she isn't building extraordinary worlds and fleshing out fascinating characters, she enjoys spending time with her husband JC and her Pomeranian Scribbles who is also her writing buddy.

I'm sure it's a combination of many things. The abundant religious and mythology books I've read that describe so many beautiful versions of heaven, like Valhalla, Elysium, Vaikuntha . . . Also, the many fantasy movies I've seen with places like Rivendell (Lord of the Rings), Tirion upon Túna, Pandora (Avatar), Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Legend I'm sure have contributed to my imagination. There are also many real-life places on earth that will leave you in awe. I think we authors have a special compartment in our brains that store all this information and when we sit down and write it's there for us to pick and choose from and embellish. Then we add a little bit of our spark to make it unique.(less)

“Don’t turn your face away.
Once you’ve seen, you can no longer act like you don’t know.
Open your eyes to the truth. It’s all around you.
Don’t deny what the eyes to your soul have revealed to you.

Now that you know, you cannot feign ignorance.
Now that you’re aware of the problem, you cannot pretend you don’t care.
To be concerned is to be human.
To act is to care.”
Vashti Quiroz-Vega

“Be kind to people and don’t judge, for you do not know what demons they carry and what battles they are fighting.”
Vashti Quiroz-Vega

“Words! What power they hold. Once they have rooted in your psyche, it is difficult to escape them. Words can shape the future of a child and destroy the existence of an adult.
Words are powerful. Be careful how you use them because once you have pronounced them, you cannot remove the scar they leave behind.”
