Rhett is her equal and is perfect for her because he has some of the same characteristics as Scarlett, but Scarlett doesn't realize how much she loves him until it is too late. Their love story is a tragedy of their own making, but you can't help but to want to see them succeed.

I also love the couples in Alanae Alder's Bewitched and Bewildered series. The interaction between the mates is hilarious, yet you can see how much they care for each other.

In my own stories it's harder to pick a couple, because at the time I'm writing their story, they are my favorite couple. I do like Tori and Brad from Chance to Love Again. Though she is hurting, Tori does still has attitude. Brad, on the other hand, was something else. There were times I wanted to beat him over the head with a book.

Currently, I'm enjoying writing about Ivy and Ben in the 7th book in the Bryant Station Curves series. (less)

Happy 2024!

I'm surprised I managed to get up this morning. Last night, I stayed up to welcome the new year. Watched some of the fireworks that were going on around where I live. Finished the re-outline to Book 5 in the Starlight Bar series. Worked in my planner to figure out how to balance writing, the day job, and enjoying life.

Yeah, lots of thoughts going through my head.

I also like Dixie Lynn Dwyer, Heather Rainier, Dana Marie Bell, MaryJanice Davidson, Eva Langlais, M.K. Eidem (have read two of her books and just got the new one for Christmas, but I'm holding it as my "treat" for when I finish writing book 3). These are just a few of the authors I enjoy reading.
