Hi,
I have never (gulp!) had writer's block. I've done my best to prevent it from happening. A technique I use is to never completely finish writing what I want to say in one sitting. When I begin writing the next day, it's easy to get started because I know what I am going to write.

“I began to use the same principles-observation, consistency, and attention to detail, to try to communicate with other birds. Through experimentation with what worked and what didn’t, I learned that if I’m patient and alert, the bird will let me know what it wants.”
Michele Raffin, The Birds of Pandemonium: Life Among the Exotic & the Endangered

“But I am also coming to realize that in our efforts to understand birds and partner with them, meaningful advances don’t necessarily come in big leaps.”
