Victoria Logue is a graduate of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. After graduation, Victoria worked as a writer for two daily newspapers in Georgia—the Warner Robins Daily Sun and The Rome News-Tribune. During that time, she garnered awards for her feature writing and personal columns from the Georgia Press Association and the Special Olympics. She and her husband, Frank, also spent two months in Kathmandu, Nepal, documenting daily life and customs.

In 1988, the Logues quit their jobs to hike the 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail. For six months they backpacked across the backbone of the eastern United States from Georgia to Maine. Upon returning home, the Logues wrote their first book, The Appalachian Trail Backpacker, which wa

I no longer have any mysteries in my life. When I was a teenager, I found a crumpled up note that my father had written to his ex-wife (my mother) that said something along the lines of giving up me "like she had her first daughter 16 year ago". Cruel, which is probably why it was crumpled up. It took me a few years before I got up the nerve to ask my mother about it. Turned out, he was the reason my mother had to give my sister up. By the time I was 29 and pregnant with my daughter, we finally got in contact with her, and now I have known her for half my life! I suppose, with some tweaks, that might make a good book.(less)
