Revelation

Revelation is proving to be a difficult book to tease out of itself. It's one of those books that looks good from a distance (as in I know what happens over the large arc) but look at the rainbow a little closer and you will find another very faint rainbow below the mother rainbow.
Character motives are proving a challenge. I like unreliable characters but this is an illusion as the characters MUST be reliable to the author...then the author creates the illusion of unreliability. The writer has to rely on their characters for good or for bad, is this not the case? It's true that characters surprise us during the writing of the book, but at the end of the day, the character must be realistic in his/her motives.

Revelation is a book-in-progress that I've set aside more than once, but for some reason I'm drawn back to it - maybe a sign I should finish it. It's very dear to my heart and soul...but I'm not sure why.
