I also reported that list a while ago, but nothing was done. I think this list is the best way to respond. Personally, I don't believe in censorship, and wouldn't want to see that list shut down, but it's what they (the SJWs) would do to a list they disagree with.

Can you spell HYPOCRISY?
None of you really had a problem with the title of the list, evidenced by your support for the creator of this list.
That creator clearly stated above, referring to the list you all found so offensive "Many people found that list pretty racist, as that list is populated mostly with books portraying White people in a negative light."
So is it the title of the list that you find racially insensitive and offensive or as the creator of this list suggests it's the content which you find offensive and racist?

As a non-white myself, I completely support this list, both for it's inherent value and for the relief it offers to that other list that is racist against whites.

Also, I have reviewed Klinton's book list and find that it is exclusively a set of books books that look for white racists behind every bush and tree.

Why does this list have to have a race angle? If it's for books about how anyone of any race has advanced human progress, why not title the list to reflect that?

I wanna know--which books on the other list portray white people in a negative light? Indicting systems of oppression that benefit one race over all others is not the same as indicting that one race. A subtle but important distinction.

There's also the bit where, yeah, white people haven't always been the good guys. And you seem to be hell bent on not having to confront that reality. But if you drown out all the voices saying, "Hey, what if we stopped being bad guys?" how do you think it's ever going to change?

A challenge (that can easily go both ways): For every book you read from the one list, read one from the other.

If you want to ease into the other list, try The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down. It's the story of Hmong refugee parents and white doctors all trying their very best to care for an epileptic child, and why the culture clash made that difficult. It's very responsible journalism, and highlights how everyone in the story really tried to do good, even if it didn't always work out.

And I will purchase a book from this list, #87 "The Age of Wonder" because I recently read Frankenstein for the first time and loved it, so I find the subject of this book (the relationship between Romanticism and the development of modern science) very intriguing.

Request for clarification: The description asks for books about some of humanity's greatest accomplishments. If a work itself is a great accomplishment (e.g. a work of philosophy) can it be included? Or, if a work of fiction is about one of humanity's greatest accomplishments, could we add that? I personally think adding works of fiction that we consider one of humanity's greatest accomplishments (Beowulf? The Princess Diaries?) could get really out of hand, and not in the spirit of the list, but as people are generally single-mindedly able to justify believing whatever they want, some specificity may be in order.

If someone could clarify, and possibly add said clarifications to the list description, I would appreciate it!

I would agree - the book should be ABOUT humanity's accomlishments - like a great inventor or artist. Books that are themselves accomplishments would get out of hand.
