Merve Özcan Özkan Seeing this covers really makes me smile :D My Friends sometimes catch this kinda covers not me though :D

message 2: by Monica (new)

Monica i dislike when different books have the same cover it makes the book less appealing and i tend not to read them.

message 3: by XXK (new)

XXK There's this one with 'Fallen' by Lauren Kate and 'Leopard Moon' by this other person. Sooo funny when I notices they had practically the same covers say for the background.

message 4: by Tanya (new)

Tanya I am soooo disappointed! I just saw that "Devoured" by Emily Snow and "Tempt me" by Olivia Cunning have exactly same covers. That just sucks.... :(

message 5: by Pattie (new)

Pattie Another duplicate cover is "Sweet as Sin" by Inez Kelley (good book!) and "A Different Kind of Forever" by Dee Ernst. I had to double check to make sure I hadn't already read the second book. There must be some giant stock photo repository in the cloud from which indie authors choose cover pictures.

message 6: by Gabby (new)

Gabby Monica wrote: "i dislike when different books have the same cover it makes the book less appealing and i tend not to read them."

I know!! Which is sad for the book that had the origional cover as people think that book copied off the other ones.

Robyn Drummond I'm sure I've seen The Devouring by Simon Holt cover somewhere else but I'm damned if I can find it. The girl with make-up streaked eyes? Can anyone help?

message 20: by Christine (new)

Christine This is just crazy! So many people out there that want to illustrate, have their pictures, or their graphic design be used for books covers and instead the industry reuses covers again and again.

message 21: by Sativa (new)

Sativa Galaxy Anomaly by Tonya Kuper and Invisible (Tainted Elements, #2) by Alycia Linwood

message 22: by Katie (new)

Katie Bonfire (Ocean City, #7) by Katherine Applegate

message 24: by Faleena (new)

Faleena Hopkins haha - this is hilarious. Well, after spotting my book on this list, I changed the cover to the one below. Apparently my old cover model is verrrrrry popular. Thanks for pointing that out! ;)

Faleena Hopkins

message 27: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra This has been a wonderful lesson in stock photo book covers, I have to say.

message 28: by Tanya (new)

message 29: by Judith (new)

Judith SNicolas As a professional cover artist I would like to say that, on some occasions I've seen authors' forums where some of their members recommend low cost design sites, and the truth is, that they aren't graphic designers, they just copy and paste images, and add a title.
A book cover must catch the reader's attention talking about its content with images, has to convey feelings, has to create expectations, and the most important thing... each story is unique, it's cover has to be unique too...

message 45: by Tracy (new)

Tracy I get a kick out of tracing covers back to the stock photos when I see the exact same image more than once. It's really common now with so many self-published books. The big publishers use them, too, but they are combined and manipulated by qualith graphic artists so it's less obvious.
