But Narnia is as Christian as it gets. Doesn't the message (and heavy-handedness) count more than the publisher?
I wouldn't add The Giver, even though the Christian themes get more pronounced as the series goes on, because the theme is more subtle and open to interpretation.
(Don't get me wrong, I still love Narnia. But I think it belongs on this list, along with a very similar series from the '80s that I don't remember the name of.)

I'd say no to Narnia because Lewis always denied that he wrote it for evangelistic purposes, and it was intended for a secular audience. My worry is that if people start voting secular publishers onto the list, then it ceases to be a resource for overtly religious series. People could start adding any book with Christian themes, like Anne of Green Gables or a ton of other secular books. There are other lists that are more open to interpretation. So that's why I thought I would limit this one to strictly religious titles.

It's hard to believe there was a "Goosebumps" rip-off for Christian kids.

There were actually two! Spinechillers and Heebie Jeebies. I don't think anyone has added the first book from the second series yet, The Rat That Ate Poodles.

I'm not too surprised, though. Goosebumps was a massive pop culture hit.

As was Magic Treehouse, and I see a blatant rip-off of that, too! At least that makes more sense.
