Would anyone know the title of a book, about how a little boy is left at home when his parents go out and he calls his grandma (I think he got scared or something) and asks if she'd come be with him and so she comes through the phone, she's real tiny but they have a fun evening together? I have been looking for this book like forever. My mom read that to me every night before bed, I would like to know the name so I can find it for a friend who just had a baby.

Again, the list is intended to be books that YOU loved as a CHILD which you feel are underrated; i.e. they have fewer than 100 ratings. For the most part that means they will be vintage books. Probably even out of print books. Books by Goodreads Authors voting for their own books will be removed.

I loved The Pushcart War, but the book has more than 3,000 ratings.
