Details of the Hunt was on the list twice, so I removed the least-voted-on edition. Fehu, that killed your vote (sorry), so you may want to vote on the remaining edition.
David wrote: "Trouble On Triton By Samuel R. Delaney"David you can add these and vote on them. Click on the "add books to this list" tab near the top of the page and you can search your shelves or Goodreads as a whole, and then select the book you want.
Meghan (mm_reads) wrote: "why are there 2 versions of VN2?"Looks like it is fixed now? I think what happens is someone doesn't notice the book is on the list and adds it, and if they add a different edition, both show up.
This is strange; it seems to me the list is a mixup of dystopias and sci-fi. I'm not much of a scifi reader so I have to ask, is there no distinction between the two?

ok i am looking for a book and need help....its about a cop that finds his family murdered buy someone/something, he is taken in by these guys who can shift into the chinese zodiac animal. he is captured by his dads ex but before he is harmed he turns into a dragon an his mate is a horse i believe. anyone know the name or author of this book?
Mars on the Rise (Veetu Industries, #1) by Rae Gee isn't a SciFi novel but a Victorian Steampunk! (the title is misleading) :D
Jane A wrote: "Unacceptable Risk is on the list but it's definitely not SciFi"Jane A., you are right. There are books on the list that include elements of paranormal along with this scifi, but this is just paranormal (werewolves). This book doesn't have scifi listed as one of its genres, doesn't have scifi (or sf or science fiction) on its first page of shelves, and the publisher lists it only as fantasy and paranormal. I have removed it.
Misty wrote: "Mars on the Rise (Veetu Industries, #1) by Rae Gee isn't a SciFi novel but a Victorian Steampunk! (the title is misleading) :D"Misty, I agree that it is a close call, but I left in on because readers seemed to think some of the machines are futuristic enough to qualify as scifi.
Euh Hi there , i am searching for a book and i was wondering if you know it or you can suggest where i can ask if anyone knows it :so a man a lord is bankrupt and there was an arrangement long ago that he marries another lord he is older and then they marry , he cheats on his husband and the latter will ignore him for a while , this lord has a hobby , he likes to build things, vehicles, so he start building some military vehicles for his husband's friend , the story is set in the future but at the same time it's historical!
Will you please help me?
I'm sorry, you have probably had this question a million times. But how do I add a book to a list? I've tried the link at the top that says 'add book' and it brings me to a page that lists all my books, and there is a 'vote for this book' option but other than that there is no way to add books? Or do I have to be part of the group?'Labyrinthian

I don't believe the following qualify as science fiction:Song of Oestend, paranormal (spirits)
Saviours of Oestend, paranormal (spirits)
Infected: Prey and the other books in the series are shifter books, if I remember correctly, but not science fiction.
I am thinking it is time to clean out some books that, while I love many of them, are not science fiction but paranormal, horror, etc. It's a close call in a lot of cases (if werewolfism is caused by a virus in the future is that scifi?) But here are the ones I am thinking about removing. I mostly went by the shelves people choose for the book when I haven't read it myself. Please let me know if I am missing anything or if some of these should stay. I'll give it a month or so before I actually remove anything.
PsyCop books
Light
Channelling Morpheus
Fire Dragon
Nabeda
Zombies Ahead
Taken by Tentacles
Glen & Tyler's Honeymoon Adventure
Strength of the Pack series
Wolfsong
Axel's Pup
Shifter Protection Specialist Series
Worth Series
Oestend series
Infected series
Charming I'd agree with you. All of those are not SciFi but Paranormal. I haven't read the zombies one or the tentacle one but the rest make sense.
Would it be ok to put 'The Borders War' by S.A. McAuley on the list, or would you consider it just dystopian?
Charming wrote: "I am thinking it is time to clean out some books that ..." As I was scrolling down the list looking for something I haven’t yet read I noticed a number of paranormal/shifter books and thought the list could use of editing. Then I read your post. If you removed the books on you mentioned last year, unfortunately, most are back on it.
Still LOTS of books on this list that are paranormal or urban fantasy, and not sci fi. I see vampires and werewolves and psychics and zombies, but none have any elements of sci fi in them.
