Psychopathy is the inability to process emotional experience, including love and caring, except when such experience can be calculated as a coldly intellectual task. It is the often pathological, sometimes neurological absence of conscience. Conscientiousness is best understood on a spectrum. With one side on the left being "too much" (Neurosis) and the other side to the right being too little (Psychopathy). Clinical narcissism is easiest understood as "Psychopathy Lite", somewhere to the right of the spectrum but before fully psychopathic behavior with some overlap/co-morbidity between.
