A list for gaming fans - those looking to further their enjoyment of a series, or maybe find something new! Please add books that relate to your favourite games, whether they're computer & video based, or even rpgs like dungeons & dragons.
Please only add titles related to existing titles & series (those available for, or that were available on previous platforms (if electronic), for purchase/play), or those that will be released within a few months of adding to this list.
Please keep the list only for 'related' content, like:
- graphic novels
- novelizations
- non-fiction books with essays on video games, their effects, common themes, etc.
- non-fiction books about the games, with character guides, story summaries, etc.
- gaming encyclopedias
- books on gaming & gaming records, in the style of the Guinness Records books
- books on the history of a specific game, or gaming style.
- Biographies of game creators and companies.
- etc.
This is not the list for walk-through guides, or for the D&D-style handbooks. The handbooks are rulebooks for the game themselves, and not just something related to the game. The walk-through guides, as well, are generally more informational, and rule-based.

Kong:a.There is no way to remove a vote, if a book is not listed. Book and vote should be removed at the same time by OOmnipowerful RRRemuver. There no books Ma'am on right side of this page to remove manually. You did not know that? Hard to believe. When editing the Listopia lists, the only option for edit is at the top of the page, after the list summary. When selected, it takes you to the edit page.
Options here are:
- Edit Title
- Edit Description
- Edit Tags
- Check for Duplicates
- Remove Particular Books
- See List History.
There's also a link to the librarian manual, but when I checked to see how to handle the voting request, there were no listopia/list instructions in the manual.
I've checked the "People who Voted on this list" section, and the likes, as well - neither area has any options for editing a user's profile, other than my personal options.
[Boris, I believe this section may be of interest to you, actually - When you click on your name under
"People Who Voted..." one of the options on the right side is to "Remove my Votes". You currently
don't have any votes listed - they were removed when the books were - but that may remove you
from the "People who Voted" list as well, if that's what you were hoping to have done.]
I had assumed that when the books were removed, the votes would be removed as well (which seems to be the case) - if you are no longer seeing the books on the side of the page, it appears to have worked. I will ask in the goodreads librarian group if it is possible to remove yourself from the "People who voted..." list, as well, though. It's possible someone with a higher permission level has the option to edit votes. It's definitely information that would be useful for the manual! Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
b.You should be do something more when just read summaries.
Super Indy by A.L. is original script for comp.game. That are graphics for (I mean graphics innnssaid boks).
Sadly, sometimes it's hard to find info when making fixes, etc. For Letner's books, there's not a lot of info on Goodreads or Amazon, other than the summaries, edition info, etc. And while the copyright info page (in the Kindle preview for Techno Witch) mentions Letner as a 'Script Writer' there's nothing about the books themselves being a script, or game related at all. And other than Goodreads and Amazon, there aren't many other sites that have info at all. He doesn't seem to have an author website, either, that would carry that information.
Regardless, despite being a game script, the type of book still does not fit the theme of the list. "This is the place for books that have to do with our favourite games, namely novels, comics, and various tie-ins. This list is for books relating to existing games, like Silent Hill, Kingdom Hearts, etc., that readers would find interesting to further their enjoyment of a series, or possibly help them find a new series they might enjoy playing! I will see what I can do to clarify the theme/list description, to prevent any future confusion.
If the "remove my votes" option doesn't work for you, I will be happy to contact the librarian group for assistance. I'm sure someone will have a solution.
And I apologize for the late reply - I had most of this typed up last week, but haven't had time to post since then.
Thank you for find a time to read Alex Letner books summaries, but that is a pity what you did so two months after the sited books removing. But no worries, not everyone is able to read graph.nowells. For someone even summaries are to much. Actually, I read the book summaries before they were removed, as well. I didn't recognize a game title in them, so I looked them up wondering what they were a novelization of. Unfortunately, they don't relate to an existing game, and as such, they don't meet the list guidelines. I will do my best to clarify them list description to prevent any future confusion.
Like I had mentioned above: "I've checked the "People who Voted on this list" section, and the likes, as well - neither area has any options for editing a user's profile, other than my personal options.

Unfortunately, this is the only method I have found so far that may be able to fix the issue.
So far, there is no other way that I have found for a user's votes on a list to be edited. I have contacted the librarian group about this matter, and the goodreads feedback group as it was recommended that I go there regarding the issue. Hopefully the site will be able to make this more accessible for users, or for librarians to make corrections when requested.

At the beginning of each calendar month, Goodreads’ crack editorial squad assembles a list of the hottest and most popular new books...
Anyone can add books to this list.

You should restore Alex Letner’s books which I vote for, or remove my votes from this list."
The purpose of Listopia lists is so that readers can find books they are interested in, generally relating to a specific topic. This list, Beyond the Game is for books (Novels & Comics, largely) based upon or relating to video games & games. Like the .hack/ series has video games based on it, Resident Evil novels, etc.
I just checked the Letner books - none of them have anything to do with a video game franchise, or video games at all, according to the summaries I read. If you would like to share these books with other readers, it's best to do so on lists that are actually related to the content - self-published authors, science fiction, etc. Thinking a title would make a good video game doesn't count, though it would be an interesting idea for a new list! ^_^
As for the votes - there's no option in the edit page to effect people's votes at all, or even to view them. The only way that I know of for votes to be removed is for you to do so manually. If you look along the right side of this page, you'll see the books you voted for, with 'X's beside the titles - clicking the X should remove your vote.
If you know of a way it can be done for you, feel free to share!
