A lot of book covers look strangely familiar - although they are brand new. That's because the photo used to design it already appeared on other covers, too. It has been bought from a stock agency. Some covers also use famous paintings. Try to add or vote for both covers or more. I hope the sorting will not mix them up too bad. In order to add a certain edition use the ISBN.

Hey Angel, please do not vote just for one part of a couple. The matching covers will not stay next to each other!

@Jillian. You can force a particular edition to appear, if you use the ISBN. I'll look them up. Thank you, it's a great example.
I KNEW there was a reason why Tantalize's cover image looked familiar... Oh wow. This is an interesting phenomenon.

Push Not the River by James Conroyd Martin...I've seen the photo on that book somewhere else too...anyone know?
I tried to move some of the books together by voting for the "lower" books. Hope it helped. Interesting list.
Two doubles are Dear Swoosie- Kate Constable and
Sealed with a diss- Lisi Harrison
Its only one of the covers for the sealed with a diss book

I sure agree. I was so surprised! I am an artist and would love to create book covers. They really should create an original cover for each book instead of doing this. I had no idea.

Namida... wrote: "brilliant list. who is that woman on all these book: taking liberties, push not the river, wuthering heights..etc?!!!!"According to Wikipedia it is the face of Emma Hamilton (~1765-1815), famous late eighteenth century English personality and Horatio Nelson's mistress. This picture is a painting of her by George Romney in the role of Circe.
Where's the matching cover for the Signet edition of "War and Peace"? (Currently one of several books ranked #120 on the list.)
This is an awesome list. If anybody wants to add more, look at this website: http://readingthepast.com/gallery/reu... .I'm too lazy to add any more. :p

Wow. Thank you for posting that link! And even if you haven't added any books from the "Reusable Cover Art" page yourself, do feel free to vote for those books from that page that have been added in the interim ... :) (Alas, for the most recent additions you'll have to go all the way back to page 3.)

THANK YOU. I've been looking for this forever
I clicked on a couple of these so this neat list would be in my list of lists, but right now I can't think of anything to contribute. ...But I will, I'm sure of it .... like so many, I never gave it a thought before. Caravagio gets used a lot, and Brueghel. I'll be bach !
