This is a list dedicated to the titles reprinted by Millennium/Gollancz in their Science Fiction Masterworks line (both the original series and the new, non-numbered series). PLEASE do not add a book to the list unless you can confirm it was published in the SF Masterworks line AND you are voting for the SF Masterworks ISBN.

Ratner's Star, by Don DeLillo does not belong on this list. Please do not vote for it, and any Librarian that sees this note, please remove it.

Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead, both by Orson Scott Card, do not belong on this list. Please do not vote for them, and any Librarian that sees this note, please remove them.
Is there any way to combine the votes for two separate editions of Non-Stop? Ideally under the proper edition for this list, i.e. the SF Masterworks edition, ISBN: 1-85798-998-8?Same with The Affirmation, under ISBN 978-0575099463?
You can combine if you're a GR librarian, but the SF Masterworks edition would "show" only if it's the edition with the most readers.
Can any librarian wandering by remove Hunting Party from this list? It is not part of the SF Masterworks series. . .And what happens if there's one vote for each version I mentioned in message #5? Is there a way to control what version shows then, or does it just go to whatever version was voted on first?
Susanna wrote: "What about Karel Capek's War with the Newts/R.U.R.?"It's due to be published in the line this year, so it does belong on the list.
Thanks!
Love this series. It's introduced me to some of the most mind-bending, sumptuous classic sci-fi I've ever encountered, like discovering Dick or LeGuin again and again and again. Thankyou to the authors who put this together and to Millennium/Gollancz for publishing it.
There's well over 20 titles, I stopped counting after that, that should not be on there. While he may deserve to be, Iain M Banks has not been published under the SF Masterworks label. Nor is Vernor Vinge, or most of the titles on page 2. Gollancz only today published the full list on their blog - http://www.gollancz.co.uk/2013/02/the...
To any librarian watching, some titles that need to be removed because they aren't part of the SF Masterworks line:Queen of Angels
The Gameplayers of Zan
All of an Instant
Lords Of The Starship
Winterlong
Rings
Day by Night
Monstrocity
Stars in My Pocket Like Grains of Sand
Wayland's Principia
334
Chocolate Lenin
Empire of the Gods
Neverness
Ring of Swords
Out of the Mouth of the Dragon
The Mule: From Foundation And Empire
There are probably more, but that's all I have time to check now. . .

Done.
To any librarian watching, The Sparrow and Children of God should be removed, as they are not part of the SF Masterworks line.
It would be nice if those were showing with the SF Masterworks cover, not the default edition. That would have also made it easier to find books that are not part of the imprint.

When I made the list I used only ISBNs from the imprint. Unfortunately, if more people vote for a different ISBN, that's the one that gets shown -- GoodReads doesn't have a way for me to make the list fixed.
To the best of my knowledge, In the Days of Humans by Terry R. Hill is not part of the SF Masterworks line. I would greatly appreciate it if any librarian stopping by could remove it from the list. (It's currently at #113, with 1 vote and a score of 100.) Thanks!
I changed some of my votes to SF masterworks ISBNs. Would be great if most of the voters did it. Does anyone know how exactly 'remove duplicates' work? Does it leave the edition with most votes or the edition with most reviews on GR? I probably should ask it in the librarians group...

Let me know if you find out as I've been wondering as well.
So I added a duplicate correct edition of a book (The Female Man), ran the remove duplicate function, and it removed the correct edition I added, presumably because it had fewer votes. All votes are intact, but the function is useless for the purpose. :/I wish at least the list admin could switch editions.
The duplicate clean up doesn't work at the moment. Goodreads is aware. There is nothing more you or I or anyone can do at that point. Not sure if edition can be switched but you will need to contact goodreads support to confirm that. The email is support @ godreads . com
For any Librarian wondering through could you please remove To Your Scattered Bodies Go by Philip José Farmer (39)
2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke (104)
as they are not part of the SF Masterworks collection
Thanks

Removed that and several others. The list is really messed-up, even the ones with 100+ votes are incorrect editions. Someone must have 'removed duplicates' and the more popular edition stayed :/
i really wish GR would allow tighter restrictions on who can add books, and whether or not voting should be allowed. :/thank you for taking the time to get it fixed. i'll keep an eye on any new additions :D
Hey, thank you for putting this together! We are reading the whole of this list in the Science Fiction Masterworks Book Club (not that anyone ever posts about it) but it's good to have the list all in one place.
Just caught up on the comments. Librarians, A Fire Upon the Deep actually is part of the SF Masterworks. Here's the list on another site that is excellent about keeping it up to date, if you need to double check what should and should not be listed.
Dream Dancer (Kerrion Empire Book 1) by Janet E. Morris (Goodreads Author)does not belong on the list. and i think 2 more are impostors but i cannot figure out which.
"Frankenstein" is listed twice. #13 and #157. worldswithoutend lists 166 works, we have 206. there are a LOT of impostors even if you take into consideration that some books were issued twice.

Alex Letner is at it again. Is there a way to report him to the admins, because that is some shady behavior.
